The general model for evaluating scientific production fits into the accountability system: a way of measuring scientific output which does not usually acknowledge the presence of gender imbalances in academic institutions. Here we take the need to rethink this system and the indicators it uses to measure productivity and scientific quality, as well as the social conditions in which these activities are measured, as a starting point. [EN]: A comparative study disaggregated by gender of the scientific production in Educational Psychology of researchers working in Spanish institutions is carried out. A total of 1949 authors have been identified who have published some work in journals indexed in the Psychology Educational category in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) corresponding to the years 2008-2018. The 56.44% of the authors identified were women versus 41.92% of men and a 1.64% of authors could not be identified. This paper analyzes the institutional contribution of institutions to the scientific production in the area of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences through the affiliation that appears in the articles of 16 Spanish journals between 1999 and 2005. The most productive institutions and the most active authors are identified, as well as the area of origin and participating institutional sectors. Institutional plurality for each journal is also studied by means of a quotient between the number of authors and institutions. The 1786 papers analyzed engage 2280 institutions. Abstract Objective The aim of this study was to compare the production, impact and co-authorship of publications by Spanish authors on smoking and tobacco between two time periods (1998/2002 vs. 2003/2007) using Science Citation Index (SCI). Methods The literature search was performed in the SCI-Expanded on 20 November 2008. All types of documents by Spanish authors were selected. The search was restricted to the title, and the key words used were “smok*” and “tobac*”. The statistical analysis was descriptive (95% CI). Aims: To analyse usability-related articles published in the period 1971-2005 from a bibliometric point of view. Methods: A search for articles was made in the CSIC databases, the Social Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index, PsycInfo, MEDLINE and Inspec databases, using ad hoc search strategies designed for each. Contribution, specific contribution and overlap indices were calculated, as were the indicators of change in scientific production, the productivity of institutions and journals, and the distribution of journals by area of knowledge.
