Structural flexibility of bis(phenoxyimine) titanium complexes in the early stages of olefin polymerization process: a DFT study

2010

The behaviors of three structurally similar salan- and phenoxyimine-based catalysts activated by perfluorophenylborate were compared in the early stages of ethylene polymerization. It was found that moderate modification of the ligand structure can dramatically reduce the interactions between the cationic active site and the counteranion and, as a result, decrease the theoretically calculated upper bound to the ion separation barrier from 15 to 2 kcal/mol. The interactions between the ions in the ion pair have further repercussions on the structure of the active sites (octahedral vs square pyramid), transition states and thus the insertion barriers.

Autonomous on-board data processing and instrument calibration software for the SO/PHI

The extension of on-board data processing capabilities is an attractive option to reduce telemetry for scientific instruments on deep space missions. The challenges that this presents, however, require a comprehensive software system, which operates on the limited resources a data processing unit in space allows. We implemented such a system for the Polarimetric and Helioseismic Imager (PHI) on-board the Solar Orbiter (SO) spacecraft. Spanish research in Educational Psychology from a gender perspective (2008-2018)

[EN]: A comparative study disaggregated by gender of the scientific production in Educational Psychology of researchers working in Spanish institutions is carried out. A total of 1949 authors have been identified who have published some work in journals indexed in the Psychology Educational category in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) corresponding to the years 2008-2018. The 56.44% of the authors identified were women versus 41.92% of men and a 1.64% of authors could not be identified. Spanish scientific production in literature through a gender perspective in the Web of Science (1975-2017)

[ES]: Se realiza un estudio comparativo desagregado por sexos de la producción científica en literatura de los investigadores que trabajan en instituciones españolas. Se han identificado 806 autores que han publicado algún trabajo de literatura en revistas indexadas en la WoS hasta el año 2017, analizando comparativamente su productividad y patrones de colaboración considerando la variable sexo. El 55.51 % de los autores identificados fueron hombres frente a un 44.49 % de mujeres. Los resultados muestran que entre los grandes productores del ámbito de la literatura predominan los hombres. [ES]: El presente trabajo analiza desde una perspectiva de género la composición de los equipos editoriales de las revistas iberoamericanas de Psicología incluidas en el Journal Citation Reports de 2015 (editado en 2016) y la producción de artículos y número de firmas en estas revistas en el JCR de 2014 y 2015. Muestreos utilizados en investigación educativa en España

En este trabajo se expone un estudio bibliográfico de distintas investigaciones que se han publicado recientemente en España, en las actas de congresos sobre educación. De todas las investigaciones que se han revisado, se analiza el tipo de muestreo que han empleado, cómo han sido seleccionadas y la aplicación de los instrumentos para la recogida de información, así como la forma en que han sido recogidos esos datos. Se pretende resaltar la importancia de la selección de muestras representativas, sobre todo para que los resultados tengan mayor relevancia y repercusión en el desarrollo del conocimiento educativo.
