The most 100 cited papers in addiction research on cannabis, heroin, cocaine and psychostimulants. A bibliometric cross-sectional analysis

2021

The number of citations a peer-reviewed article receives is often used as a measure of its importance and scientific impact. This paper identifies, describes and categorizes the highly cited papers in addiction research on cannabis, heroin, cocaine and psychostimulants. Highly cited papers were identified in the Web of Science Core Collection database. Several bibliometric indicators were calculated. Social network analysis was applied to draw groups of authors and institutions with the greatest number of collaborations and co-words. The number of citations for the top 100 cited articles ranged from 649 to 4,672. The articles were published in 40 journals. The subject category Substance Abu…

Identification and study of research groups in Learning, Teaching and Education Leadership

2016

The bibliometrical indicators, based on the statistical analysis of quantitative data from scientific literature, are currently an essential tool to the study researchers’ activity. In these lasts years, the use of bibliometrical indicators as a complement to other scientific indicators to analyse the research situation of a country, its evolution in time and its position in the international context has been extended.  The objective of this study is to analyse the scientific productivity in Learning, Teaching and Education Leadership throughout the communications presented in all of the World Conference on Learning, Teaching and Education Leadership (WCLTA) included in the database Web …

Insights into international branch campuses: Mapping trends through a systematic review

2019

Abstract This study analyzes international branch campus (IBC) literature trends from 1960 to 2017 through a systematic review of the different research approaches, views, and positions to map the global scientific production. Over the last two decades, universities worldwide have opened branch campuses abroad, reaching a peak of 249 across thirty-three countries in January 2017. In fact, international studies and surveys have identified a 26% increase over the last five years as well as a concentration of the industry. Since 2017, the emergent field of IBC has experienced a geometric growth regarding the number of academic publications on this topic. The results of the review indicate an i…

Supply chain of innovation and new product development

2015

This paper conceptualizes the supply chain of innovation of a company as its supply chain not related to physical goods exchanges but to R&D commodities exchanges. R&D commodities, being the outcomes of research activities, are for example patents, technologies, research services, studies, projects, etc. Spe- cifically, we focus on the relationship between the activities of purchasing/selling R&D commodities and the propensity of the firm to develop new products; we examine how the position of the firm within its innovation network moderates this relationship. The empirical setting of the research consists of a cross- sectional dataset of 544 biopharmaceutical companies that hav…

Athena Mars rover science investigation

2003

[1] Each Mars Exploration Rover carries an integrated suite of scientific instruments and tools called the Athena science payload. The primary objective of the Athena science investigation is to explore two sites on the Martian surface where water may once have been present, and to assess past environmental conditions at those sites and their suitability for life. The remote sensing portion of the payload uses a mast called the Pancam Mast Assembly (PMA) that provides pointing for two instruments: the Panoramic Camera (Pancam), and the Miniature Thermal Emission Spectrometer (Mini-TES). Pancam provides high-resolution, color, stereo imaging, while Mini-TES provides spectral cubes at mid-inf…

An electrochemical process to prepare and recycle biobased ionic liquids

2019

This manuscript describes the first electrosynthesis of biobased ionic liquids from L-valine, oxalic acid and glyoxal, which is energy-efficient, does not emit toxic waste and avoids the formation of inorganic waste. These ionic liquids were then used in the development of our electro-recycling process. While their recycling yields are still moderated due to recombination and disproportionation reactions, this unprecedented recycling technology is very promising in terms of environmental and economic gains. Indeed, it has a high energy efficiency, requires low cost equipment, allows a strong decrease of the price of such ionic solvents, limits the use of non-renewable resources and solves t…

Design of a reactor operating in supercritical water conditions using CFD simulations. Examples of synthesized nanomaterials

2011

International audience; Direct information about fluids under supercritical water conditions is unfeasible due to the engineering restrictions at high pressure and high temperature. Numerical investigations based on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) calculations are widely used in order to get extensive information on the fluid behavior, particularly to help the design of a new reactor. This paper presents the numerical investigations performed on an original supercritical water device, especially in the level of the reactor. CFD calculations allow to design and optimize the present reactor described in this study. Currently, this process produces some nanometric oxide powders in continuou…
