A Model for the Study of Sheath Currents in Medium Voltage Cables for Industrial Application

In this paper, the implementation of a simulation model for studying the effect of cross-bonding of metallic sheaths and/or non-magnetic armor of single-core medium voltage cables in the same circuit is discussed. With the use of single-core cables, the resistive losses due to the induced circulating currents in cable sheaths or armors causes an increase of cable temperature that reduces its ampacity. In addition, the risk of electric shock due to induced voltages may be present if a person is exposed to the armor/sheath at the unbounded end. The use of disposable screen-printed electrodes (SPEs) has extraordinarily grown in the last years. In this paper, conductive inks from scrapped SPEs were removed by acid leaching, providing high value feedstocks suitable for the electrochemical deposition of Ag, Pt and Ag core-Pt shell-like bimetallic (AgPt) nanoparticles, onto screen-printed carbon electrodes (ML@SPCEs, M = Ag, Pt or AgPt, L = metal nanoparticles from leaching solutions). A novel virtual screening methodology called fragment‐ and negative image‐based (F‐NiB) screening is introduced and tested experimentally using phosphodiesterase 10A (PDE10A) as a case study. Potent PDE10A‐specific small‐molecule inhibitors are actively sought after for their antipsychotic and neuroprotective effects. The F‐NiB combines features from both fragment‐based drug discovery and negative image‐based (NIB) screening methodologies to facilitate rational drug discovery. Vietnē tiek automatizēts Twitter sīkziņu ekrānuzņēmumu izveides process, proti, lietotājam nepieciešams tikai ievadīt sīkziņas saiti vai Twitter kontu un lejupielādējamus sīkziņu attēlus izveidos sistēma. T9+HUD: Physical Keypad and HUD can Improve Driving Performance while Typing and Driving

We introduce T9+HUD, a text entry method designed to decrease visual distraction while driving and typing. T9+HUD combines a physical 3x4 keypad on the steering wheel with a head-up-display (HUD) for projecting output on the windshield. Previous work suggests this may be a visually less demanding way to type while driving than the popular case which requires shifts of visual attention away from the road. We present a prototype design and report first results from a controlled evaluation in a driving simulator. BioImageXD: an open, general-purpose and high-throughput image-processing platform

BioImageXD puts open-source computer science tools for three-dimensional visualization and analysis into the hands of all researchers, through a user-friendly graphical interface tuned to the needs of biologists. BioImageXD has no restrictive licenses or undisclosed algorithms and enables publication of precise, reproducible and modifiable workflows. It allows simple construction of processing pipelines and should enable biologists to perform challenging analyses of complex processes. We demonstrate its performance in a study of integrin clustering in response to selected inhibitors.
Longitudinal and cross-sectional associations of adherence to 24-hour movement guidelines with cardiometabolic risk

This study aimed to examine 1) adherence to 24-hour movement guidelines over a 2-year follow-up in children aged 6-8 years and 2) association of this adherence with cardiometabolic risk factors. Physical activity and sleep were assessed by a monitor combining heart rate and accelerometry measurements. Screen time was reported by the parents. Body fat percentage, waist circumference, blood glucose, serum insulin, plasma lipids and blood pressure were assessed, and a cardiometabolic risk score was calculated using z-scores.
