Follow-up of patients with colonic polyps containing severe atypia and invasive carcinoma. Compliance, recurrence, and survival

Between January 1975 and December 1984 1769 polyps were endoscopically removed from 1219 patients. Eight percent of these patients had polyps containing severe atypia and 5.0% had polyps containing invasive cancer. A close postoperative surveillance program was followed by only a few patients, but compliance improved with longer follow-up intervals. Metachronous polyps were observed with similar frequency in patients with benign polyps (34.8%) and those with polyps containing severe atypia (23.8%) or cancer (41.7%). Conventional spectral analyses of heart rate variability (HRV) have been limited to stationary signals and have not allowed the obtainment of information during transient autonomic cardiac responses. In the present study, we evaluated the ability of the short-time Fourier transform (STFT) method to detect transient changes in vagal effects on the heart. Objective Various childhood adversities have been found to be associated with chronic pain in adulthood. However, associations were moderate in most studies, i.e. odds ratios (OR) were between one and two. Method An internet survey was performed in 508 Polish and 500 German subjects. A total of 19 childhood adversities were selected and their associations with headaches explored. Age, gender and country were included as potential confounders, as well as their two-way interaction with the risk factors. Results Two strong risk factors were identified. Mērķis: noskaidrot bērnu autisma iezīmju saistību ar vecāku audzināšanau un vecāku stresa indeksu. Dalībnieki: 98 mātes, kurām ir bērni vecumā no 5-11 gadiem (M=8,26, ST=1,91). Piedalījās mātes, kurām ir bērni ar autisma pazīmēm vai diagnozēm, un mātes, kurām bērni ir bez autisma traucējuma. Kopumā piedalījās 39 mātes, kuras audzina meitenes (40 %) un 59 mātēs, kuras audzina zēnus (60%). Moreover, there is a growing concern about the ability of hospitals to provide effective care during disaster events. AbstractThe paper considers three main questions: the legal status of digital designs from the perspective of EU design law, whether the protection is tied to the reproduction of physical products, and whether the scope of protection covers dimensional conversion such as using a 3D design in 2D form or vice versa.
