Research Findings: The purpose of the present study was to examine the extent to which the quality of teacher–child interactions and teachers’ self-reported curriculum emphases are related to children’s reading skill development during their 1st school year. To accomplish this, we assessed the reading skills of 1,029 Finnish children (M age = 85.77 months) twice during Grade 1, and the children’s teachers (n = 91) completed questionnaires concerning their literacy-related curriculum emphases. The purpose of the study is to explore physical education (PE) students’ social and emotional learning (SEL) and the meaningful learning experiences during the SEL course. In the teaching profession, understanding SEL is important because the guidance of learning and group dynamics is essentially an interactive social process. Valodas apguve parasti notiek, izmantojot četras prasmes: klausīšanos, runāšanu, lasīšanu un rakstīšanu. Rakstīšana tiek uzskatīta par visgrūtāk apgūstamo prasmi. Dienasgrāmatas tika izvēlētas par darbarīku, lai uzlabotu skolēnu rakstītprasmi ar atspoguļojošās rakstīšanas palīdzību. Diplomdarba mērķis bija noskaidrot, kā dienasgrāmatu rakstīšana varētu uzlabot 7. Klases skolēnu rakstītprasmi. Lai sasniegtu šo mērķi, 2016. The aim of this paper is to discuss the Finnish education system from an Indonesian perspective, and consider what citizens, notably from middle-income countries, may learn from the Finnish system.
