The International Severe Acute Respiratory and Emerging Infection Consortium (ISARIC) COVID-19 dataset is one of the largest international databases of prospectively collected clinical data on people hospitalized with COVID-19. This dataset was compiled during the COVID-19 pandemic by a network of hospitals that collect data using the ISARIC-World Health Organization Clinical Characterization Protocol and data tools. The database includes data from more than 705,000 patients, collected in more than 60 countries and 1,500 centres worldwide. Remarks on the Historiography of Mathematics

In this paper, I examine aspects of the methodological debate that originated in 2010, when the distinguished historian of mathematics Sabetai Unguru reviewed Roshdi Rashed’s edition of the Arabic translation of Apollonius’ Conics. In his review, Unguru criticized what Rashed calls “l’usage instrumental d’une autre mathématique pour commenter une oeuvre ancienne”. Translation through Visualization

There are many aspect of professional translation. Problem solving is certainly one of them, and visualization has occasionally been recommended in this context. In this article, think aloud protocols (dialogue protocols) are analysed with the aim of observing instances of visualizations that lead to successful translations. As a heuristic means cognitive notions (prototypes, scenes and frames and focus) are used. In general, it seems that visualizing details of a scene helps translators to arrive at creative translations.
Interjections and Pragmatic Errors in Dubbing

This paper consists of an analysis of the expressive secondary interjections found in the film Four Weddings and a Funeral and their equivalents in the Spanish and Catalan dubbed versions. The contrastive analysis of the interjections in the original English version compared with the Spanish and the Catalan dubbed versions shows that the strategies followed by the translators are different: literal translation is far more frequent in Spanish than in Catalan. Literal translation often implies an error that is pragmatic in nature since it derives from the misunderstanding of the pragmatic meaning that the interjection conveys.

This study aimed to explore correlates of the lifetime number of sexual partners in a sample of older adults.MethodData were from 3054 men and 3867 women aged ≥50 years participating in the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing. Participants reported their lifetime number of sexual partners and a range of sociodemographic characteristics and health behaviours. Médias et sentiment sur les marchés actions européens : influence de la culture nationale

Dans cet article, nous développons une nouvelle mesure du sentiment des investisseurs en Europe à partir d’une analyse de contenus d’articles issus du Financial Times. Dans la lignée des travaux de finance comportementale, nous trouvons que notre mesure du sentiment influence la performance boursière des entreprises difficiles à évaluer et à arbitrer. Par ailleurs, nous montrons que la culture nationale influence le lien entre sentiment des investisseurs et rentabilités boursières. L’impact du sentiment se révèle plus prononcé pour les pays les plus culturellement enclins à des comportements de sur-réaction ou grégaires.

Le présent article retrace le cheminement de la CIUTI depuis 50 ans, c’est-à-dire son développement en une organisation réputée ayant à son actif 40 membres en Europe et dans le monde. À ses débuts, la CIUTI avait certes comme but essentiel la promotion de la coopération entre ses membres (mobilité des étudiants et des enseignants, échange de connaissances), mais son autre objectif était de promouvoir la traductologie dans les universités en tant que discipline à part entière.
