Les ciencies socials, d'ença de fa uns anys, han tingut cura de tornar a definir i analitzar aspectes tan diversos com la tradició, els processos rituals, la revifalla de festes, etc., la qual cosa ha fet que l'estudi de la festa i del ritual s'hagi eixamplat, i que no quedi confinat a les societats rurals ni als pobles preindustrials. L'article reflexiona sobre els conceptes de festa i de ritual, a la llum de nous treballs sobre la festa en contextos urbans actuals.

The Alzheimer’s disease is nowadays known all around the world, however not everybody is aware of the aftermath that this disease produces in those who suffer it directly and indirectly. There is even less awareness of the importance of providing care to those who give care. The research project Mapa Escolar de Valencia (School Map of Valencia) was born out of an agreement between the City Council and the University of Valencia in order to carry out an investigation of the compulsory education system of the city and propose, if necessary, modifications to the current school zoning. El trabajo de investigación que se presenta se justifica por la centralidad que otorga la doctoranda a las metodologías docentes para implementar una docencia de calidad.
