Although psychoanalysts are interested in symptom reduction as an outcome, they are looking for instruments to measure sustaining changes in the unconscious mental functioning. In this article it is discussed that conceptually well-founded transformation of manifest dreams analyzed with precise empirical methods could be considered as a promising indicator for such therapeutic changes. Utility of 3 Tesla diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance (DWMR) imaging for the characterisation of small solid renal tumours

Purpose: To determine the utility of apparent diffusion coefficients (ADCs) for the characterisation of small solid renal lesions. Methods and Materials: 26 patients (GFR 30-60 mL/min) with 39 small (1-3 cm) solid renal masses [16 RCCs (10 clear cell types; 6 other types); 18 AMLs (10 fat-containing; 8 minimal-fat) and 5 oncocytomas] were examined on a 3 T system using DW-SS-EPI (b-values 0, 1000 s/mm2). The ADC of the lesions and the ADC of kidney were evaluated. Il saggio esamina la questione dell'assegno di divorzio nella prospettiva della solidarietà post-coniugale, analizzando criticamente l'esito di cripto-indissolubilità del matrimonio che emerge dalla consolidata lettura della relativa obbligazione come tendenzialmente priva di termine finale. The essay examines the issue of the divorce allowance from the perspective of post-marital solidarity, critically analyzing the outcome of the crypto-indissolubility of marriage that emerges from the consolidated reading of the relative obligation as tendentially without a final term.

W bardziej odległym okresie od transplantacji na ciężkość objawów w większym stopniu niż leczenie immunosupresyjne wpływają zaawansowany wiek i współchorobowości. Il volume analizza in un’ottica comparatistica il tema della solidarietà intergenerazionale con particolare riferimento al dovere di assistenza nei confronti del genitore in stato di bisogno. Accanto ad un modello ben noto di ricostruzione dell’obbligazione alimentare in termini solidaristici, l’indagine ha rilevato la presenza di un modello definibile come compensativo-retributivo, il cui riferimento metagiuridico è da riscontrarsi non nella preservazione della vita dell’alimentando, ma in quello della gratitudine e riconoscenza a lui dovuta per il fatto della generazione. The article shows results of monitoring of a Sicilian composting plant (southern Italy). In particular, the biological stability of the organic fraction of municipal solid wastes has been monitored. Two experimental periods have been carried out: (1) plant start-up and (2) first operation period. The biological stability has been evaluated throughout the dynamic respiration index (DRI). This index was determined at different stages of process, for each phase. To our knowledge, no work has been previously published on the monitoring of composting plants in southern Italy. Factors controlling hydrochemical and trophic state variables in 86 shallow lakes in Europe

In order to disentangle the causes of variations in water chemistry among European shallow lakes, we performed standardised sampling programs in 86 lakes along a latitudinal gradient from southern Spain to northern Sweden. Lakes with an area of 0.1 to 27 000 ha and mean depth of 0.4–5.6 m located in low to high altitudes were investigated within the EC project ECOFRAME 1–4 times during June–October 2000–2001.
