Divine love is the central theme of many ancient Mesopotamian compositions. Both Sumerian and Akkadian texts poetically describe the love and sexual relationship between gods. The object of this study is to analyze the metaphorical language used to describe divine love relationships, focusing in particular on the use of images from agriculture, pastoralism, and the plant world. Music making software programs for children from ages five to twelve

This research classifies the qualities in the existing music creation software programs that enable them to be operated by young users. This is done through comparison of the literature on musical development of children and the examination of the existing software. For the research were selected three fundamentally different pieces of music creation software that potentially provide a wide variety of features. The selected programs are GarageBand, Songsmith and Groovy Music. Each of the three programs has its own strengths in benefiting children s musical development in different ages. Diplomdarba autore ir strādājusi par angļu valodas skolotāju astoņus gadus. Gramatika vienmēr ir sagādājusi grūtības daudziem viņas skolēniem. Daļai no viņiem nepatīk darbības vārdu formas, dažus skolēnus neinteresē lielo burtu lietojums, prievārdi vai frazālie darbības vārdi, bet citiem grūtības sagādā laiki un vārdu kārtība teikumā. Var būt dažādi iemesli, kāpēc skolēniem nepatīk angļu valodas gramatika. Nav šaubu, ka daži no viņiem vienkārši negrib mācīties. Tas varētu būt arī sava veida protests, lai parādītu citiem, ka viņi var darīt, ko grib. In its introduction, this contribution provides the characteristics of the 19th-century folklore research on Upper-Silesian songs and brings forward the researchers. The turning point in this field occurred in the 20th century, when the phonograph was used for the recording. In the main body of this contribution, the author presents the first recordings of regional songs made by Paul Schmidt in 1913 in Prudnik poviat and their most recent re-edition.

Hankkiessaan Beatles-nuotinnoksen käsiinsä ei kuluttajalla välttämättä ole ollenkaan käsitystä siitä, minkä tasoinen kulloinenkin nuotinnos on, eli kuinka luotettava se on verrattuna alkuperäiseen lähteeseen eli levyyn. Musiikin käyttäjälle olisi varmasti paljon hyötyä ja iloa siitä, jos nuotit vastaisivat paremmin levyjä – valitettavasti vain julkaistut nuotinnokset ovat suurelta osin puutteellisia ja jättäneet paljon toivomisen varaa. I Carmina Cantabrigiensia (CC) sono una silloge di componimenti latini che si leggono nel manoscritto Gg. 35 (siglum Ca), custodito presso la University Library di Cambridge. La più gran parte dei CC è probabilmente di origine germanica e appartiene a un periodo compreso fra il IX e l’XI seco-lo. Gli 84 componimenti della raccolta mostrano diversità di forma, contenuto e funzione. È possibile, infatti, individuarvi poesie in lode di sovrani o vescovi, componimenti erotici, liriche in lode della na-tura, e altri tipi di composizioni non sempre facilmente classificabili. Nieznane źródła do badań na repertuarem muzycznym i działalnością przewodników kalwaryjskich z górskich okolic Kalwarii Zebrzydowskiej

Wielowiekowa obecność Kalwarii Zebrzydowskiej jako ważnego ośrodka pielgrzymkowego przyczyniła się do powstania związanego z nim religijnego repertuaru muzycznego. Miał on charakter anonimowy, a śpiewany był w języku polskim przez społeczność pątniczą z pierwotnym przeznaczeniem do wykonania zarówno na terenie sanktuarium, jak i w czasie pielgrzymki na kalwarię. W artykule omówiono nagrania dokumentujące tego typu tradycyjny repertuar muzyczny, podany podczas ogólnopolskiej Akcji Zbierania Folkloru Muzycznego przez przewodników pielgrzymek („śpiywoków”) działających w 1. połowie XX w. w górskich okolicach Kalwarii Zebrzydowskiej.
