 The goal of this survey was to describe the use and diffusion of lung ultrasound (LUS), the level of training received before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the clinical impact LUS has had on COVID-19 cases in intensive care units (ICU) from February 2020 to May 2020. The Italian Lung Ultrasound Survey (ITALUS) was a nationwide online survey proposed to Italian anesthesiologists and intensive care physicians carried out after the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. It consisted of 27 questions, both quantitative and qualitative. 807 responded to the survey. Objective: The objective of our study is to analyse (with the help of scanning electron microscopes) the quality of the dental root surface and the appearance of dental cracks after performing apical preparations using two diffe-rent types of ultrasonic tips. Study design: We used 32 single-rooted teeth that underwent a root canal and apical resection. Plantar fascia (PF) is a connective tissue made up of mostly type 1 collagen that is subjected to constant loads. This study evaluated the effect of continuous running on tissue stress in the PF by measuring changes in the thickness of the PF using ultrasound scans. Anotācija ST elevāciju miokarda infarkta gadījumā (STEMI) patofizioloģiskais substrāts ir rupturējusi vai erodējusi panga un tromboze. Šajā darbā veicām iMap IVUS audu analīzi STEMI mērķa bojājumiem 75 pacientiem, noteicām asinīs aterosklerozes biomarķierus un veicām 10 mēnešu apsekojumu. Mūsu rezultāti parādīja augstu nekrotisko audu daudzumu mērķa bojājumā un augstu, bet salīdzinoši zemāku, proksimālajā segmentā. Proksimālajā segmentā 10 mēnešu laikā samazinājās lipīdu audu daudzums par 10,2%. Neointimai 10 mēnešus pēc stenta implantācijas bija raksturīgs stabilāks audu sastāvs pēc iMap IVUS nekā natīvai aterosklerotiskai pangai šajā artērijā. This review paper puts together some results concerning non equilibrium thermodynamics and heat transport properties of superfluid He II. A one-fluid extended model of superfluid helium, which considers heat flux as an additional independent variable, is presented, its microscopic bases are analyzed, and compared with the well known two-fluid model. In laminar situations, the fundamental fields are density, velocity, absolute temperature, and heat flux. Such a theory is able to describe the thermomechanical phenomena, the propagation of two sounds in liquid helium, and of fourth sound in superleak.
