Barriers to open e-learning in public administrations

Abstract This article presents a comparative study of the barriers to open e-learning in public administrations in Luxembourg, Germany, Montenegro and Ireland. It discusses the current state of open e-learning of public administration employees at the local government level and derives the barriers to such learning. This paper's main contribution is its presentation of an empirical set of barriers in the four European countries. The paper examines the description of the tribune of the Cathedral of Palermo by Antonello Gagini published in Gagino redivivo by Vincenzo Auria, contextualizing it with other sources related to the monument, both written and iconographic. Auria's detailed description, together with the latter, has allowed a complete reconstruction of the tribune and of its iconographic programme.

The Medication Use Patterns, Treatment Satisfaction, and Inadequate Control of Osteoporosis Study (MUSIC-OS) is a prospective, observational study of women with osteoporosis in Europe and Canada. At baseline, patients with gastrointestinal symptoms reported lower adherence to osteoporosis treatment, treatment satisfaction, and health-related quality of life, than those without gastrointestinal symptoms. [ES]: Se realiza un estudio comparativo desagregado por sexos de la producción científica en literatura de los investigadores que trabajan en instituciones españolas. Se han identificado 806 autores que han publicado algún trabajo de literatura en revistas indexadas en la WoS hasta el año 2017, analizando comparativamente su productividad y patrones de colaboración considerando la variable sexo. El 55.51 % de los autores identificados fueron hombres frente a un 44.49 % de mujeres. Los resultados muestran que entre los grandes productores del ámbito de la literatura predominan los hombres. [ES]: El presente trabajo analiza desde una perspectiva de género la composición de los equipos editoriales de las revistas iberoamericanas de Psicología incluidas en el Journal Citation Reports de 2015 (editado en 2016) y la producción de artículos y número de firmas en estas revistas en el JCR de 2014 y 2015. Los resultados indican mayor presencia de hombres en comités editoriales, con cargos de responsabilidad mayores y en revistas de mejor cuartil.
