This study was designed to test the role of general and selective task instructions when processing documents, which vary as regards trustworthiness and position toward a conflicting topic. With selective task instructions, we refer to concrete guidelines as how to read the texts and how to select appropriate documents and contents, in contrast to general task instructions. This research characterizes and compares the job satisfaction of fitness professionals in Portugal between genders, ages, professional experience, professional title, and educational qualifications. A total of 401 fitness professionals answered the online questionnaire Job Satisfaction Scale, which has 16 factors rated on a Likert scale with seven levels. The statistical analysis comprises descriptive and statistical tests to compare the results of two (t-test) or more (ANOVA) groups. Overall, the results demonstrated that fitness professionals were moderately satisfied with their work. The objectives of this research were to study individual differences in positive characteristics from the point of view of the layperson, including non-moral individual characteristics, and to generate a replicable model of positive factors. Abstract The present study used a sample of 365 children to investigate the longitudinal associations between maternal homework assistance (i.e., help, monitoring, and autonomy granting) and children's task-persistent behavior in learning situations from grade 2 to grade 4 of elementary school. Also, the extent to which task-persistent behavior plays a role in the links between parental homework assistance and children's academic performance was examined. Insights into the derivative-based method for nonlinear mediation models

Associational mediation analysis has generally relied on the linearity of models to estimate the indirect effect as a product of regression coefficients. Very few examples of generalisations to nonlinear settings have been proposed, including a derivative-based method that, however, is far from being widely spread among scholars. In this paper, we clarify some aspects of such an approach to nonlinear mediation models, which have not been addressed by the previous literature. In addition, we run a simulation study to compare confidence intervals for the indirect effect obtained through different approaches.

Several studies have been done on road racing cycling and triathlon to determine the optimal saddle height (LINF) in terms of efficiency. However, cycling is becoming nowadays not only a popular sport but also a mass mean of transport were comfort takes priority over efficiency. The aim of this study is to determine an optimal saddle height (LINF) to improve comfort in leisure cycling. Five male subjects (height mean=172.2 cm, std=1.34 cm; crotch height mean=81.25cm, std=0.88cm) tested 9 prototypes of the company ORBEA with 3 levels of LINF.
