[EN] This paper proposes the use of modelling to improve the understanding of certain coastal environmentalproblems. In particular the methodological basis that was used to build a consensus teaching model, in-cluding environmental and human factors that determine the dynamics of coastal sediments, is included.The development of the consensus model had the collaboration of experts in coastal sedimentology andecosystems as well as teachers of di erent educational levels (from Primary to University), which helpedselect the ages to which the modelling could be applied, helping also in developing the graphical model thatwould be the base for a future educational intervention

Indirect chronology method employing rare earth elements to identify Sagunto Castle mortar construction periods

A novel indirect chronology method has been developed to identify Sagunto Castle construction periods. The method is based on the use of inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) to determine rare earth elements (REE) and other trace elements in mortars. Additionally, a no destructive geochemical analysis based on X-ray fluorescence (XRF) was employed for major elements determination. Collected chemical data were processed through Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to highlight any differences among the mortars belonging to different buildings and construction periods. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot kādas saistības pastāv starp plūsmas stāvokli, emociju kontroli un daudzspēlētāju tiešsaistes spēļu lietošanu. Pētījumā piedalījās 56 dalībnieki vecumā no 14 – 45 gadiem, no kuriem 43 (77%) ir vīrieši un 13 (23%) sievietes. Kā datu ievākšanas metodes tika izmantotas trīs aptaujas. Šī darba mērķis bija izpētīt glicerīna transportsistēmu un Hog1p iespējamo lomu raugu šūnu dzīvotspējas saglabāšanā anhidrobiozes stāvoklī. Lai sasniegtu šo mērķi, izmantoja raugu Saccharomyces cerevisiae BY4741 un tā izogēnos celmus, kuriem trūka viens vai vairāki gēni, kuri ir atbildīgi par glicerīna transportiera Stl1p, glicerīna eksporta kanāla Fps1p un regulatorās Hog1p MAP kināzes ekspresiju raugu šūnās. The artistic expressions that the Passionist entities took to the streets on the days of Holy Week, disappear almost in their entirety, having to start a tremendously costly reconstruction process in order to alleviate the losses suffered.
