Semantic User Profiling for Digital Advertising
2015
International audience; With the emergence of real-time distribution of online advertising space (“real-time bidding”), user profiling from web navigation traces becomes crucial. Indeed, it allows online advertisers to target customers without interfering with their activities. Current techniques apply traditional methods as statistics and machine learning, but suffer from their limitations. As an answer, the proposed approach aims to develop and evaluate a semantic-based user profiling system for digital advertising.
Mapping SPARQL Query to temporal logic query based on NμSMV Model Checker to Query Semantic Graphs
2012
International audience; The RDF (W3C standard for metamodeling) language is the most frequently used to represent the semantic graphs. This paper presents a new research combining different fields that are: the semantic web and the model checking. We developed a tool, RDF2NμSMV, which converts RDF graphs into NμSMV language. This conversion aims checking the semantic graphs that have numerous errors of interpretation with the model checker NμSMV in order to verify the consistency of the data. The SPARQL query language is the standard for querying the semantic graph but have a lot of limitations. To this purpose, we define a translation from the SPARQL query language into the temporal logic …
Vibrating temporal soliton pairs
2007
The study of temporal multisoliton complexes in dissipative systems is of potential interest for the development of new schemes of optical data transport and processing. In the present work, we thus consider pulsations of a soliton pair that consist mainly in the oscillations of the temporal separation and phase relationship between the two pulses, so that the relative motion of the two bound solitons resembles a vibrational motion.
Networks of Seed Storage Protein Regulation in Cereals and Legumes at the Dawn of the Omics Era
2012
BAP GEAPSI CT2 (BAP); International audience; Finely regulated and orchestrated events occur during seed development and germination in different cell organelles (mitochondria, peroxisomes, plastids, vacuoles, endoplasmic reticulum, oil bodies and nuclei). Therefore, some of the ongoing investigations pass through sub-cellular organelle purifications for a deeper comprehension of these complex developmental processes. In seed biology, recent ambitious efforts in proteomics have been directed toward organelle isolation from seeds and high-throughput protein separation and identification by mass spectrometry at defined developmental stages. The construction of reference maps allowed identifyi…
Changes in properties of palm sugar syrup produced by an open pan and a vacuum evaporator during storage
2013
International audience; The aim of this study was to monitor the changes in the properties of palm sugar syrup produced by an open pan and a vacuum evaporator at 70°C and 80°C during storage under 4°C and room temperature (30°C) for 12 months at monthly intervals. During storage, Maillard reaction took place in samples stored under 4°C lower than those stored under 30°C. This was shown by lower a* values, intermediate browning products (IBP), browning intensity (BI) and HMF content, and higher L* values, fructose, glucose and free amino group contents during storage for 12 months. HMF, a possible mutagen formed by nonenzymatic browning during the heating and storage of sugar based products,…
Application of seaweeds to develop new food products with enhanced shelf-life, quality and health-related beneficial properties
2017
International audience; Edible seaweeds are a good source of antioxidants, dietary fibers, essential amino acids, vitamins, phytochemicals, polyunsaturated fatty acids, and minerals. Many studies have evaluated the gelling, thickening and therapeutic properties of seaweeds when they are used individually. This review gives an overview on the nutritional, textural, sensorial, and health-related properties of food products enriched with seaweeds and seaweed extracts. The effect of seaweed incorporation on properties of meat, fish, bakery, and other food products were highlighted in depth. Moreover, the positive effects of foods enriched with seaweeds and seaweed extracts on different lifestyl…
New approach to quantify in situ storage protein bodies in M. truncatula immature seeds
2013
Grain legumes play a worldwide role as a source of plant proteins for feed and food. During seed mid-maturation (16-20 DAP), a semi-quantitative analysis of vicilin (globulin7S) accumulation was assessed in the model legume M.truncatula. The populations of vicilincontaining protein bodies are distinguished by their number and size which allowed proposing a model of their biogenesis. Two distributions were detected, enabling a separation of their processing at early and mid maturation stages. The largest protein bodies corresponding to mature vicilin aggregations which have probably reached their final size were shown to be formed by the fusion of the small bodies. This approach using a comb…

Déterminisme génétique de la plasticité de la composition protéique des graines de légumineuses vis-à-vis de l'environnement : rôle du métabolisme du…
2021
The renewed interest in plant proteins has stimulated research aimed at developing markers to aid in the selection of legume varieties better adapted to nutritional needs. Among the traits to be improved and stabilized is the amino acid balance of seeds, the essential amino acids methionine and tryptophan being particularly under-represented in legume seeds. This thesis focuses on seed protein composition, which is a major determinant of the seed amino acid balance. The objective was to explore the genetic and environmental variability in this trait and to identify genes potentially involved in its plasticity when subjected to environmental stresses. In the first part of the thesis, the pro…
