The Mediating Role of Individual Differences in the Interaction between Specific Socioprofessional Pressures and Job Satisfaction
2014
Abstract Previous research suggests that individual differences play an essential role in the complex process of organisational stress. The mediator role of specific individual differences and coping strategies, in the stressor – strain (effect) relationship is investigated in the present research. One sample of romanian employees (N=311) from an administrative-public service organisation participated in the study. Using the Pressure Managment Indicator (PMI, Williams & Cooper, 1998 ; PMI-RO, Brate, 2004, 2008 ), findings revealed significant mediating interactions between specific socioprofessional pressures and job satisfaction. The results have practical implications for the future resea…
The Effect of Organizational Politics on Job Stress; Mediating Role of Job Satisfaction
2018
The purpose of this quantitative study is to investigate the relationship between organizational politics and job stress and the mediating role of job satisfaction. Changes in working circumstances causes work related stress. There are various vulnerabilities associated to stress such as work content, workload, working hours, control and career development, position in the organization, interpersonal dealings and traditions of the employing organization. The job stress can be deterred through primary avoidance such as concentrated work design and administration growth, secondary avoidance such as workers' learning and training and tertiary avoidance such as mounting responsive organization s…
Intensified job demands, stress of conscience and nurses' experiences during organizational change
2022
Background:Nurses frequently face ethically demanding situations in their work, and these may lead to stress of conscience. Working life is currently accelerating and job demands are intensifying. These intensified job demands include (1) work intensification, (2) intensified job-related planning demands, (3) intensified career-related planning demands, and (4) intensified learning demands. At the same time, many healthcare organizations are implementing major organizational changes that have an influence on personnel.Aim:The aim of the study was to investigate the association between intensified job demands and stress of conscience, and whether their association is moderated by organizatio…
Organizācijas kultūras, ar darbu saistītā stresa un slimības prombūtnes saistība
2017
Pētījumā tika izvirzīts mērķis izpētīt organizāciju kultūras, stresa un darba kavējumu saistību vienas organizācijas ietvaros. Lai sasniegtu šo mērķi bija nepieciešami 3 instrumenti – „Darba Stresoru Skala”, „Organizāciju kultūras izpētes aptauja” un „Demogrāfiskā anketa”. Pētījuma uzdevumi ietvēra „Darba Stresoru Skalas” adaptācijas pirmo posmu krievu valodā; organizāciju kultūras saistību ar darba stresu; darba nespējas saistības izpēti gan ar darba stresu, gan organizācijas kultūru; noskaidrošanu, cik lielā mērā demogrāfiskie, organizāciju kultūras un ar darbu saistītā stresa faktori prognozē darba nespēju. Pētījums tika veikts ražošanas Organizācijā X, tajā piedalījās 102 respondenti, n…
Speciation of dimethyltin(IV) – and trimethyltin(IV) – carbocysteinate and – glutamate systems in aqueous media
2008
The formation of complex species in the dimethyltin(IV) and trimethyltin(IV)-carboxymethyl-L-cysteinate (carbocysteinate) systems in NaClaq, at different ionic strengths, and in a multicomponent Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Cl- and SO42- medium representative of the seawater major composition, is discussed. Experimental results give evidence for the formation of the following species (L¼carbocysteinate): [(CH3)2Sn(L)]0, [(CH3)2Sn(HL)]+, [(CH3)2Sn(OH)(L)]-, [(CH3)2Sn(OH)2(L)]2- in the DMT–CCYS system, and [(CH3)3Sn(HL)]0, [(CH3)3Sn(L)]- and [(CH3)3Sn(OH)(L)]2- in the TMT-CCYS system. The ionic strength dependence of formation constants was taken into account by an extended Debye Huckel type equation…
Misfit evaluation of dental implant-supported metal frameworks manufactured with different techniques: Photoelastic and strain gauge measurements
2016
This study aims to compare in-vitro the fitting accuracy of implant-supported metal frameworks used for full-arch orthodontic restoration. The hypotheses tested were as follows: (1) for a fixed implant morphology, strains developed within the framework depend on how the framework had been fabricated and (2) stresses transferred to the implant–bone interface are related to the amount of framework misfit. Metal frameworks were fabricated using four different manufacturing techniques: conventional lost-wax casting, resin cement luting, electrospark erosion, and computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing milling. Each framework was instrumented with three strain gauges to measure strai…
Pulsating B and Be stars in the Small Magellanic Cloud
2008
Context: Stellar pulsations in main-sequence B-type stars are driven by the kappa-mechanism due to the Fe-group opacity bump. The current models do not predict the presence of instability strips in the B spectral domain at very low metallicities. As the metallicity of the SMC is lower than Z=0.005, it constitutes a very suitable object to test these predictions. Aims: The main objective is to investigate the existence of B-type pulsators at low metallicities, searching for short-term periodic variability in absorption-line B and Be stars in the SMC. The analysis has been performed in a sample of 313 B and Be stars with fundamental astrophysical parameters accurately determined from high-res…
Merging Features from Green's Functions and Time Dependent Density Functional Theory: A Route to the Description of Correlated Materials out of Equil…
2016
We propose a description of nonequilibrium systems via a simple protocol that combines exchange-correlation potentials from density functional theory with self-energies of many-body perturbation theory. The approach, aimed to avoid double counting of interactions, is tested against exact results in Hubbard-type systems, with respect to interaction strength, perturbation speed and inhomogeneity, and system dimensionality and size. In many regimes, we find significant improvement over adiabatic time dependent density functional theory or second Born nonequilibrium Green's function approximations. We briefly discuss the reasons for the residual discrepancies, and directions for future work.
