El poder de la inteligencia emocional sobre la resiliencia en adultos mayores

Resumen Antecedentes y objetivo El envejecimiento implica importantes cambios adaptativos para los sujetos. La inteligencia emocional puede ser un factor clave para el desarrollo de estrategias adaptativas. Esta investigacion pretende estudiar si la inteligencia emocional puede predecir la capacidad de resiliencia de los adultos mayores. Materiales y metodos En una muestra de 214 adultos mayores se evaluo la resiliencia y las dimensiones de la inteligencia emocional. Se aplico analisis de regresion para estudiar si las dimensiones de la inteligencia emocional predecian la resiliencia. Resumen Antecedentes La psicologia evolucionista plantea que existirian procesos cognitivos arcaicos que favorecieron la supervivencia de nuestros antepasados. Al ser evolutivamente antiguos se asentarian sobre estructuras subcorticales, lo cual genera que sean automaticos y dificulten la regulacion emocional. Abstract Esophageal stenting is used in patients with malignant esophageal tumours to reduce dysphagia and inanition. The objective of this study was to analyse the main reasons for esophageal stenting in Rīga East Clinical University Hospital (RECUH) and their association with dysphagia and mortality. A cross-sectional study of all patients hospitalised in RECUH who received esophageal self-expanding metal stents (SEMS) from October 2013 to December 2015 was performed. A total of 29 patients, 24 (82.8%) male and 5 (17.2%) female, with mean age 63.7 ± 11.3 years, underwent the procedure. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) have attracted attention for their ability to transport bioactive cargo through various body-fluids and their role in tissue crosstalk and regeneration. Targeted intercellular communication processes, including those facilitated by EVs, are of vital importance for the complex architecture and function of the brain.
