Nykyään tieto- ja viestintäteknologialla (TVT) on yhä suurempi rooli suomalaisessa perusopetuksessa sekä lukiokoulutuksessa. Erilaiset laitteet ja sovellukset ovat tuoneet myös uusia mahdollisuuksia erityisesti matematiikan opetukseen. Tässä tutkielmassa todistetaan Marstrandin projektiolause käyttäen apuna potentiaaliteoriaa. Projektiolauseen mukaan 2-ulotteisen Borel joukon ortogonaaliprojektion Hausdorffin dimensio on luvun 1 ja kyseisen Borel joukon dimension minimi melkein kaikkiin eri suuntiin. Intuitiivisesti lause kertoo, että joukon varjon dimensio on suurin mahdollinen. Marstrandin projektiolauseen todistamiseksi tutkielmassa rakennetaan teoria alkaen yleisen mittateorian perustuloksista. This chapter identifies, defines and explores four news media roles of conduit, facilitator, mediator and political actor through which the media participate with corporate, social and political actors in agenda-building processes. The framework of the media’s four agenda-building roles sheds light on how the news media perform their various roles as well as how other actors, such as organizations and media audiences, are able to mobilize the media performing these roles. This framework helps explain how and why media roles affect the way actors are able to influence the media agenda with the intention of shaping the public agenda. peerReviewed
Facilitators, teachers, observers, and play partners : Exploring how mothers describe their role in play activities across three communities

The present study explored the perspectives of mothers from three communities regarding their role in play activities with their toddlers. The mothers of two-year-old children from Muenster, Germany (n = 34), Chennai, India (n = 36), and New York City, USA (n = 36), participated in the study. Qualitative content analysis was utilized to analyze the mothers' responses to semi-structured interview questions. Four roles were identified as characterizing the mothers' narratives, namely mothers as facilitators, teachers, play partners, or observers. This paper discusses how the association learning principle works for supporting acquisition of basic spelling and reading skills using digital game-based learning environment with the Finland-based GraphoLearn (GL) technology. This program has been designed and validated to work with early readers of different alphabetic writing systems using repetition and reinforcing connections between spoken and written units. Tutkimuksessa selvitetään yhdeksäsluokkalaisten oppilaiden sekä yläkoulun äidinkielen ja kirjallisuuden opettajien käsityksiä uusmedioista, niiden käytöstä nuorten vapaa-ajalla ja koulussa sekä niiden pedagogisista mahdollisuuksista opetuksessa. Mismatch negativity (MMN), which is an electrophysiological response demonstrated in humans and animals, reflects memory-based deviance detection in a series of sounds.
