In this study I try to understand four prospective adult class teachers’ identity works on the basis of their learning diaries during a mathematics education course (6 ECTS). These four prospective class teachers’ reported they had negative experiences of mathematics during their school years but later in their lives the views towards mathematics had changed to a positive direction. The development of teachers’ responses to challenging situations during interaction training

The qualitative changes in teachers’ responses in challenging situations were analysed during a four-day Teacher Effectiveness Training (TET) course, which aimed at improving teachers’ interpersonal dynamics with pupils, parents and colleagues. The participants were 21 teachers from one elementary and 23 teachers from one secondary school attending a TET course in Finland. Qualitative abductive content analysis was used to classify the data. Frequencies based on this analysis were also looked at. Tutkimuksen tehtävänä oli kuvata opettajaksi opiskelevien 1) käsityksiä opettajan työn eettisestä luonteesta, 2) näkemyksiä ohjaajan, opettajan ja kouluttajan työn eettisistä haasteista käytännössä, 3) oikeudenmukaisuutta koskevia menettelytapoja sekä 4) pedagogista etiikkaa määritteleviä kuvauksia.
