This paper presents the design and implementation of the Neuma platform, a digital library devoted to the preservation and dissemination of symbolic music content (scores). Neuma is open to musicologists, musicians, and music publishers. It consists of a repository dedicated to the storage of large collections of digital scores, where users/applications can upload their documents. It also proposes services to publish, annotate, query, transform, and analyze scores. The long-term goal of the project is to enable an open and collaborative space where musician communities will be able to share music in symbolic notation. A platform-independent software for the design and analysis of windings of rotating electrical machines

In this paper the Authors present a highly modular and platform-independent software, being based on the MATLAB® programming environment, which is proposed as a valuable aid in the design and analysis of the windings of rotating electrical machines. Unlike the major part of the commercial software, the cases of both symmetric and asymmetric (unbalanced) windings with any number of phases are here considered. The software can perform a considerable amount of calculations in order to determine automatically the optimal structure of the winding starting from its specifications. Objectives: The objective of this work was to use finite element analysis to compare the effect of forces coming to bear on abutments 4.1 or 5.0 mm in diameter connected to a 5.0 mm implant (i.e. with or without platform swit - ching). Study design: A 3D CAD model of a 5 x 11.5 mm external hex implant was developed, complete with a connection screw and either of two abutments, one 4.1 and the other 5 mm in diameter, to assess the influence of two loading conditions, i.e. 200 N loaded either axially or off center on the top of the abutment. This thesis propounds an info-communicational approach of empowerment phenomenon in a market oriented context. In order to do so, we focus on discourses and communicational processes that refer to this very concept in “collaborative consumption” platforms’ framework. Massification of this type of services is accompanied by discourses emphasizing a socioecological “power” they would be carrying for consumers (as a more social and sustainable economy). We underline the gap between this utopia and the organizational reality of empowerment. First part of this thesis proposes to highlight this polysemic concept. Western Sicily is part of the Sicilian chain, a sector of the SE-verging Alpine orogenic belt in the central Mediterranean. Interpretation of seismic reflection profiles, boreholes and recent inland geological data, have enabled us to assess the deep structural grain. A wedge of flat-lying Mesozoic–Miocene carbonate and terrigenous rocks (pre-Panormide nappes) is superimposed on NW-trending, 7–8 km thick, Mesozoic–Paleogene carbonate thrust ramps (Trapanese units), arranged in two structural levels extending from the Tyrrhenian coast to western offshore Sicily. Darba mērķis ir atklāt, pēc kādiem principiem vadījušies latviešu atdzejotāji, latviskojot Benna dzejoļu krājuma “Morgs un citi dzejoļi” dzejoļus. Darba pirmajā daļā noskaidroti vadošu ārzemju un latviešu tulkošanas un atdzejošanas pētnieku aprakstītie tulkošanas un atdzejošanas principi un to daudzveidība. Otrajā darba daļā iezīmēts Gotfrīda Benna dzīves gājums un dzejas īpašības, raksturota vācu ekspresionisma poētika, kā arī veikta Gotfrīda Benna dzejoļu atdzejojumu analīze un salīdzināšana.
