Corporate social responsibility and managerial compensation: further evidence from spanish listed companies

Ongoing regulatory efforts aim to link managerial compensation with a firm’s performance. However, little is known about whether and how Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals are considered in the design of the managerial compensation scheme. This paper addresses this research question by analyzing a sample of Spanish listed firms for the period spanning 2013–2018. The outcomes of the regressions suggest that there is a positive relationship between CSR and the managerial compensation, but this relationship is significant only with lower levels of CSR. Despite co-creation being considered a valuable strategy for incremental changes towards more sustainable activities and consumers’ declared interest, hospitality businesses still did not experience the expected level of client engagement in their service interactions. Understanding Mobile Showrooming Based on a Technology Acceptance and Use Model

Showrooming is an increasingly popular behaviour in the omnichannel era. The purpose of this paper is to understand the consumer intention to showroom through a technology acceptance and use model based on UTAUT2 that includes value consciousness and purchase involvement as drivers of showrooming intention and mobile dependency as a moderator. Data collected via a survey answered by 659 showroomers were analysed using Partial Least Squares (PLS). Aquest treball proposa una metodologia per a poder discriminar els graus de formalitat d'un text en confrontació amb unes altres. L'anàlisi es basa en dues parts. En la primera, esrudiem característiques lingüístiques que es mostren més sensibles per a assenyalar el grau de formalitat del text, com són el passat simple, l'anàfora, els relatius, els connectors i locucions conjuntives, el subjuntiu o la formació de paraules amb tres classes de sufixos cultes: -ment, -able/-ible i -tat, -edat, -etat, -itat. Natural and anthropogenic influences on the geochemistry of Quaternary lake sediments from Holzmaar, Germany

The accumulation of heavy metals and trace elements has been investigated in a well laminated sequence of Holocene and late Pleistocene lake sediments composed of diatomaceous gyttja, tuff and silt and clay sediments. Varve chronology of the annually deposited gyttja yielded a continuous high-resolution time sequence and allowed the absolute age dating of the sediment. Fluxes of elements remained largely uniform from the late Pleistocene into the Holocene. Higher trace element and heavy metal fluxes occur from 2322 to 862 VT years ago (VT: varve time, years before 1950) and reached their maxima in the uppermost sediments (<845 VT years ago).
