Family-teachers relationships through digital tools: analyses and proposals

La investigación exploratoria analiza las relaciones digitales entre docentes y familias en diez centros educativos de las provincias de Barcelona y Girona. La investigación recoge y analiza las diferentes herramientas digitales a través del análisis de documentos y de entrevistas semiestructuradas. El estudio muestra que la introducción de las TIC no ha conllevado cambios sustanciales ni en el qué ni en el cómo de las prácticas y las relaciones entre familias y docentes. Finalmente, partiendo de dicho análisis, se plantean pistas y propuestas de mejora en las actuales relaciones digitales entre docentes y familias.

The aim of the present study is to determine the relationship between metacognition and decision making and whether metacognitive strategy instruction is effective in improving decision-making performance. Previous research results in the field demonstrated a relationship between metacognitive awareness and decision-making performance. Regulation of cognition was shown to have a greater impact on decision making than did knowledge of cognition. Metacognitive strategy instruction was found to be beneficial to those in the below-average group, but not to those in the average or above-average groups. A través de un cuestionario de preguntas abiertas, este estudio analiza la evolución de las metáforas personales de una muestra de profesores en formación de la especialidad de Economía del Máster Universitario en Formación del Profesorado en Educación Secundaria, durante el curso 2012/2013. Action research as a school-based strategy in intercultural professional development for teachers

Abstract Teacher professional development is a key factor for transforming professional and school culture. This article describes a case study undertaken in a Spanish school during the 2007–2008 academic year. Our aim is to explain how action research methodology was applied to encourage professional and school culture towards an intercultural and inclusive approach.
