This paper illustrates a research method appropriate for researchers examining teaching practices and teacher training in poor countries. The method of research described here does not compare with large scale studies in terms of sample size, scientific rigor, and sophisticated statistical analysis. We believe, however, that it can, provide valid information sufficient in accuracy for policy making. Most importantly, we believe, this method offers a feasible way for national researchers to explore why teachers teach as they do in their country. Prácticas y condiciones institucionales para el desarrollo de la docencia en universidades iberoamericanas

This research is based on an analytical model designed to evaluate the institutional conditions that affect the development of teaching in Ibero-America. The case studies correspond to six universities in: Argentina, Spain, Mexico and Venezuela 2. Were identified the common challenges and the differentiated needs faced by the development, with quality, of university teaching. In Spain, within the framework of the Strategy 2015, the implementation of scholarships, grants and wages especially adapted to the new situation of the European Higher Education, intended to ensure access to university education to those most disadvantaged social groups economically. This research makes an ex post facto, descriptive-comparative aimed at assessing the impact of the grant salary, as an economic factor, on equity, access and academic performance in the first year of college. Many national and international studies have concentrated on the evaluation and promotion of the inclusive qualities of schools. It is a complex issue which has led to wide debate and a variety of contributions which in turn highlight the need for a tool capable of measuring the inclusive quality of our schools in order to determine the empirical evidence regarding this topic. This article presents the results of an experiment in drafting a questionnaire in order to measure the inclusive quality of the school system perceived by its pupils. The questionnaire is intended as an evaluation and selfevaluation tool that enables the inclusive quality generated by the context to be measured as it is perceived by pupils. At the same time the tool allows reflection processes amongst teachers to be promoted so that they can implement educational activities which contribute to the planning and control of inclusive teaching practices. This contribution puts forward an original tool for measuring the inclusive quality of the school system perceived by pupils attending primary school in several Sicilian towns. It was administered in its definitive version to a sample of 1652 children. Les pratiques pédagogiques en première année universitaire: description et analyse de leurs implications sur la scolarité des étudiants

In France, there is little research on university teaching and focusing specifically on teaching practices. This present research aims to explore this concept in two different ways. The first part focuses on the description of the practices implemented by teachers during first-year university lectures. Using in situ observation of lecture practices of 49 teachers from five programmes, we first show that teachers’ practices mostly rely on traditional methods as defined by Bru (2006). However, we show a variety of practices among teachers. This article takes a critical look at the assessment of teaching practices. Firstly, it reminds both principles and methodology whereby school is assessed ; secondly, it mentions social and political issues on which those researches have an effect. Unfortunately, teaching practices are not very much known in France, and so is their efficiency. As a result, significative improvements may be done to develop research on education in France.

In France, some studies (Boyer & Coridian, 2002; Clanet, 2001) have highlighted the heterogeneity of teaching practices at the university, especially in the first year, but don't analyze accurately the effects of this variety on the students.
