Trans -Cyclooctene-Functionalized PeptoBrushes with Improved Reaction Kinetics of the Tetrazine Ligation for Pretargeted Nuclear Imaging

Tumor targeting using agents with slow pharmacokinetics represents a major challenge in nuclear imaging and targeted radionuclide therapy as they most often result in low imaging contrast and high radiation dose to healthy tissue. To address this challenge, we developed a polymer-based targeting agent that can be used for pretargeted imaging and thus separates tumor accumulation from the imaging step in time. Mid-term and late results of endovascular treatment for symptomatic carotid artery stenosis under proximal protection

Introduction: Although filters are still preferred during carotid stenting, proximal protection systems (PPS) are increasingly used during these procedures. PPS seem to be safer than distal systems, especially in symptomatic patients, but evidence supporting their use is limited. Aim: This was a post hoc survey with 30-day mid-term and long-term follow up, which was aimed at assessment of the safety and efficacy of stenting of the internal carotid artery under PPS in symptomatic patients. Material and methods: We analysed the results of stenting in 120 symptomatic patients presenting with at least 60% stenosis. In the title compound, [Na2(C16H7Cl3N5O2)2(CH3OH)4]·C4H10O·2CH3OH, the central pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine system makes dihedral angles of 82.98 (7)° with the trichlorophenyl ring and 13.11 (15)° with the pyridine ring. The sodium ion has an octahedral environment, being coordinated by four methanol molecules and one O and one N atom of two different heterocyclic ring systems.

The C–I・・・⁻O–N⁺ Halogen Bonds with Tetraiodoethylene and Aromatic N-oxides

The nature of C–I⋯⁻O–N⁺ interactions, first of its kind, between non-fluorinated tetraiodoethylene XB-donor and pyridine N-oxides (PyNO) are studied by single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD) and Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations. Despite the non-fluorinated nature of the C2I4, the I⋯O halogen bond distances are similar to well-known perfluorohaloalkane/-arene donor-PyNO analogues. With C2I4, oxygens of the N-oxides adopt exclusively 2-XB-coordination in contrast to the versatile bonding modes observed with perfluorinated XB-donors. The reaction of Cl3PNSiMe3 with 3 equiv of LiHNR (R = iPr, Cy, tBu, Ad) in diethyl ether produces the corresponding tris(amino)(imino)phosphoranes (RNH)3PNSiMe3 (1a, R = iPr; 1b, R = Cy; 1c, R = tBu; 1d, R = Ad); subsequent reactions of 1b−d with nBuLi yield the trilithiated tetraimidophosphates {Li3[P(NR)3(NSiMe3)]} (2a, R = Cy; 2b, R = tBu; 2c, R = Ad). The reaction of [(tBuNH)4P]Cl with 1 equiv of nBuLi results in the isolation of (tBuNH)3PNtBu (1e); treatment of 1e with additional nBuLi generates the symmetrical tetraimidophosphate {Li3[P(NtBu)4]} (2d). Ievads: Priekškambaru mirdzaritmija jeb ātriju fibrilācija (ĀF) ir visbiežāk sastopamais aritmijas veids, kas skar aptuveni divus procentus no kopējas populācijas. Risks saslimt ar ĀF pieaug līdz ar vecumu. Pēdējos gados pasaulē un arī Latvijā tiek izmantota mazinvazīva procedūra - radiofrekvences katetra ablācija (RFKA). Šī ārstēšanas metode ir indicēta pacientiem ar ĀF, kura turpina persistēt un recidivēt, neskatoties uz adekvātu medikamentozu terapiju. Ablācijas metodes pamata mērķis ir izārstēt ĀF un uzlabot pacienta dzīves kvalitāti, samazinot slimības simptomātiku.
