Francesco Carradori's treatise «Istruzione elementare per gli studiosi della scultura» (1802) codifies the organization and working process within a sculpture workshop in such an exemplary manner that it is an indispensable source for understanding the marble industry in the 19th century. The author analyses Carradori's text both through its Renaissance and Baroque sources (Vasari, Cellini, Boselli) and through encyclopaedic repertories (Baldinucci, Félibien, de Jaucourt, Falconet, Levesque) and then proposes a comparison with the similar attempt by the Prussian sculptor Johann Gottfried Schadow, whose essay «Die Werkstätte des Bildhauers» (1802) similarly narrates the work processes, but u…
Heyting-valued interpretations for Constructive Set Theory

AbstractWe define and investigate Heyting-valued interpretations for Constructive Zermelo–Frankel set theory (CZF). These interpretations provide models for CZF that are analogous to Boolean-valued models for ZF and to Heyting-valued models for IZF. Heyting-valued interpretations are defined here using set-generated frames and formal topologies. As applications of Heyting-valued interpretations, we present a relative consistency result and an independence proof.

Le petit dépôt de bronzes découvert à Quitteur (commune de Beaujeu-Saint-Vallier-Pierrejux et Quitteur ; Haute-Saône - France), sur une moyenne terrasse de la Saône, est composé de trente-deux objets comprenant un assortiment d’éléments de parures (boutons à bélière, pendeloque, anneaux) associés à un couteau à manche massif et une armature de flèche. Le lieu de découverte du dépôt, dans l’espace occupé par les vestiges d’un habitat contemporain du RSFO, s’écarte de la majorité des dépôts de bronzes isolés comme l’archéologie les perçoit habituellement. Bakalaura darbā tika veikti šādi uzdevumi: 1)Literatūras darbu apskats plazmas izlādes gaismas avotiem par LU Atomfizikas un spektroskopijas institūta veiktajiem augstfrekvences bezelektrodu lampu pētījumiem; 2)Joda augstfrekvences bezelektrodu lampu spektru pētījumi pie dažādiem to darbināšanas parametriem; 3)Spektrālo līniju avotu izmantošanas iespējas. Iegūtie rezultāti parāda, ka LU Atomfizikas un spektroskopijas institūtā izgatavotās augstfrekvences bezelektrodu lampas ir piemērotas joda atomu koncentrāciju noteikšanai stratosfērā un troposfērā un joda atoma pāreju varbūtības noteikšanā. Despite transferrin being the main circulating carrier of iron in body fluids, and iron overload conditions being known to worsen stroke outcome through reactive oxygen species (ROS)-induced damage, the contribution of blood transferrin saturation (TSAT) to stroke brain damage is unknown. The objective of this study was to obtain evidence on whether TSAT determines the impact of experimental ischemic stroke on brain damage and whether iron-free transferrin (apotransferrin, ATf)-induced reduction of TSAT is neuroprotective. We found that experimental ischemic stroke promoted an early extravasation of circulating iron-loaded transferrin (holotransferrin, HTf) to the ischemic brain parenchyma.…
