Matrix algebras with degenerate traces and trace identities

In this paper we study matrix algebras with a degenerate trace in the framework of the theory of polynomial identities. The first part is devoted to the study of the algebra $D_n$ of $n \times n$ diagonal matrices. We prove that, in case of a degenerate trace, all its trace identities follow by the commutativity law and by pure trace identities. Moreover we relate the trace identities of $D_{n+1}$ endowed with a degenerate trace, to those of $D_n$ with the corresponding trace. This allows us to determine the generators of the trace T-ideal of $D_3$. Tracking trace elements from soil to Lebanese bread and Populations Exposure

In Lebanon, the agri-food industry represents 18% of the industrial sector and yet food safety remains a major problem. In this interdisciplinary thesis, we followed the Trace Elements (TEs) in the Lebanese white bread sector "from farm to fork" based on the reality on the ground, and on two links in the sector: (i) the geogenic or anthropogenic origin of TEs present in the soil and their transfer to the wheat grain, for which 10 plots cultivated in wheat, covering the diversity of soils, irrigation practices and anthropogenic environments of the central Bekaa were chosen ; (ii) the exposure of populations to TEs present in bread, for which a survey of consumption habits across Lebanon was …

Studies on the activity of information seeking and information literacy practices show that re-examining search behavior may improve search results. It is possible to strengthen this reflexivity by promoting the recovery and restoration of digital traces client-side, instead of just indexing them "server side". To understand the representations of information retrieval, we studied discourse of some students on their own information-seeking behavior and obtained models of their research. In student accounts, subjective description of the concepts in question overshadowed any objective description of the activity.
