A new tension is spreading throughout Europe: the tension between Common Constitutional Traditions (CCTS) and Constitutional Identity (CI). Recent cases brought before the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), which have gone to the core of European Integration, have revealed this tension. In particular, this tension was highlighted in the “Taricco saga” and in the more recent cases concerning the independence of the judiciary in Poland. The article is a continuation of the Subject of the September 2021 "The Historical Flag of the University of Latvia", which analyses the failure of the University of Latvia Flag Foundation during 1990s, based on sources of student fraternity/sorority history in the collection of the Museum of the University of Latvia and previous research. It concludes that the reason for the non-realisation of the University of Latvia Flag Foundation was the severance of the historical links of Latvian student academical life organisations with the University of Latvia due to the occupation of the USSR for about 50 years.

Using Francesco Zambon's recent Metamorfosi del Graal as his starting point, the author undertakes an analysis on the importance of the Graal in Western mystical, philosophical and literary traditions throughout time, from the impact of the medieval Graal stories on the matière de Bretagne and beyond (Troyes, Boron), to the appeal of this myth in modern times, including its occurrence on Richard Wagner, Martin Heidegger, Simone Weil, Italo Calvino and Umberto Eco.

The present article attempts to record and present as much as possible the Latin translations of hagiographical texts during the Middle Byzantine period. The texts are first approached from a literary point of view, then a historical presentation is attempted, referring to their possible functional use in the traditions of the two churches, Constantinople and Rome.
