Divisible designs and groups

We study (s, k, λ1, λ2)-translation divisible designs with λ1≠0 in the singular and semi-regular case. Precisely, we describe singular (s, k, λ1, λ2)-TDD's by quasi-partitions of suitable quotient groups or subgroups of their translation groups. For semi-regular (s, k, λ1, λ2)-TDD's (and, more general, for the case λ2>λ1) we prove that their translation groups are either Frobenius groups or p-groups of exponent p. Some examples are given for the singular, semi-regular and regular case.
Dimension of self-affine sets for fixed translation vectors

An affine iterated function system is a finite collection of affine invertible contractions and the invariant set associated to the mappings is called self-affine. In 1988, Falconer proved that, for given matrices, the Hausdorff dimension of the self-affine set is the affinity dimension for Lebesgue almost every translation vectors. Similar statement was proven by Jordan, Pollicott, and Simon in 2007 for the dimension of self-affine measures. In this article, we have an orthogonal approach. In the last decade, an increasing number of studies have demonstrated that non-coding RNA (ncRNAs) cooperate in the gene regulatory networks with other biomolecules, including coding RNAs, DNAs and proteins. Among them, microRNAs (miRNAs), long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) and circular RNAs (circRNAs) are involved in transcriptional and translation regulation at different levels. Intriguingly, ncRNAs can be packed in vesicles, released in the extracellular space, and finally internalized by receiving cells, thus affecting gene expression also at distance. This review focuses on the mechanisms through which the ncRNAs can be selectively packaged into extracellular vesicles (EVs).

The aim is to test the structural validity of the Finnish version of the FAOS using Rasch Measurement Theory. Atomic teleportation via cavity QED and position measurements: efficiency analysis

We have recently presented a novel protocol to teleport an unknown atomic state via cavity QED and position measurements. Here, after a brief review of our scheme, we provide a quantitative study of its efficiency. This is accomplished by an explicit description of the measurement process that allows us to derive the fidelity with respect to the atomic internal state to be teleported.
