The Employer Perception of Non-linear Educational Pathways. A Vignette Study with French Employers

International audience; We explore the relationship between educational pathways and labour market entry with vignette study. We stimulate a hiring process with a sample of recruiters and we analyze the role of schooling discontinuities in the screening of applicant resumes. Applicant may follow di fferent pathways: some of them are graduated on time, others face delay because they had a job or because they traveled abroad. Then, we analyze the determinants of employers' preferences with regressions: the likelihood to hire the candidate is used as dependent variable. Recent excavations at " Au-dessus de Bergis " in Gevrey-Chambertin (Burgundy, France) brought to light in 2008 and 2009 numerous, rectangular aligned pits interpreted as an ancient vineyard dated from the mid-first, mid-second century to the third century AD. The vineyard measured at least one hectare in area and was bounded to the south by a hedge or fence. It was composed of parallel rows oriented 6° N that may have been trained over and along high, inclined wooden frames. Vine stocks were renewed by layering, over several generations of plants.
