International audience; This paper addresses the problem of automatic classification of Spectral Domain OCT (SD-OCT) data for automatic identification of patients with Diabetic Macular Edema (DME) versus normal subjects. Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) has been a valuable diagnostic tool for DME, which is among the most common causes of irreversible vision loss in individuals with diabetes. Specifiski, tika pētīts, cik atšķirīgi ir radījumi abu spēļu klāstā, lai nonāktu pie secinājuma - vai tie, un līdz ar to - arī spēles savā starpā, ir ar statistisku nozīmību atšķirīgiviens no otra, vai nē. Lai to izdarītu, tika ievākti dati no abām spēlēm - radījumu galvenie raksturlielumi un, kurnepieciešams, veikti papildus aprēķini, lai noskaidrotu to spējas un varētu tās salīdzināt abosgadījumos. Typology and Representation of Alterations in Territorial Units: A Proposal

Abstract This article proposes a typology of boundary changes in territorial units at two points in time. The different types of changes are organized in a hierarchy and represented homogeneously, independently of the number of territorial units involved and of the changes to them. Each alteration is described precisely and unambiguously, and it is codified to allow the information to be treated automatically. In addition to providing efficient storage of the information about these changes, a canonical representation facilitates the automatic detection of inconsistencies in the database. Pressure- and temperature-induced valence tautomeric interconversion in a o-dioxolene adduct of a cobalt-tetraazamacrocycle complex

An electronic switch at the molecular level has been realized by using a class of ionic compounds of the formula [Co(L)(diox)]Y (L = tetraazamacrocyclic ligand, Y = mononegative anion). Such compounds undergo temperature- and pressure-induced intramolecular one-electron transfer equilibria. The transition temperature of interconversion varies with the nature of the counterions Y (Y = PF6, BPh4, I). Surprisingly the effect of the anion on the transition temperature is not only governed by its volume but also by its coulombic interaction.
A M�ssbauer and ESR study of LiNbO3-Fe2O3 for low Fe2O3 concentrations

Samples of the system LiNbO3-Fe2O3 prepared by water quenching and by the double-roller quenching method in the range up to 24 mol% Fe2O3 were investigated by Mossbauer and ESR spectroscopy. In the water quenched samples up to 11 mol% Fe2O3 only the Fe3+ and the Fe2+ valence states could be detected. The Fe2+ concentration decreased with increasing Fe2O3 content. Above 11 mol% Fe2O3 magnetically split Mossbauer spectra indicated the presence of Fe2O3 clusters. The isomer shift values of Fe3+ as a function of Fe2O3 concentration showed jumps at 6 and 11 mol% Fe2O3, whereas no significant changes could be detected in the quadrupole splitting values. Urīnceļu infekcijas ir vienas no visbiežākajām ar veselības aprūpi saistītajām infekcijām, kas 80% gadījumu attīstījušās instrumentālas iejaukšanās dēļ. Eiropā aptuveni 17% pacientu hospitalizācijas periodā tiek veikta urīnpūšļa kateterizācija. Nepamatota, indikācijām neatbilstoša urīnpūšļa kateterizācija ir galvenais riska faktors infekciozām un neinfekciozām komplikācijām, kā arī veicina antimikrobiālās rezistences attīstību un palielina ārstēšanas izmaksas. Katetru asociētas urīnceļu infekcijas tiek uzskatītas par potenciāli novēršamu hospitalizācijas komplikāciju, slimnīcas praksē izmantojot preventīvu stratēģiju kopumu. Tās pamatā ir ES Līgumi, kurus ir parakstījusi katra dalībvalsts. Eiropas Savienības Tiesa ir atbildīga par tiesību aktu ievērošanu. Tas liek ievērot daudzvalodu principu visos ES tiesas procesos un tāpēc juridiskais tulkojums ieņem nozīmīgu lomu ES. Bet pat šīs institūcijas kontekstā eksistē problēmas juridisko tekstu tulkošanā. Previous research revealed that Western lullabies and children’s songs are mostly in the major mode, and children demonstrate a positive-major/negative-minor connotation that conforms to the conventional stereotype. The aim in this current study is to analyze the same topic in Finland and Iran where most lullabies are in the minor mode. The overarching question addressed is whether or not cultural background and the music mode, a child tends to be exposed to early in life affects later emotional responses to different music modes. Maģistra darba nosaukums ir “Latvijas pelēkais: krāsu valences un komunikācijas analīze”. Pētījumam ir izvirzīti divi mērķi. Pirmkārt, noskaidrot skatītāju krāsu preferences saistībā ar pelēko krāsu. Otrkārt, noskaidrot atšķirības acu kustībās starp cilvēkiem, kas studējuši vai studē Latvijas Mākslas akadēmijas vizuālās mākslas nodaļas glezniecības apakšnozarē un cilvēkiem, kas tur nav studējuši. Darba teorētiskais ietvars veidots uz vizuālās uztveres, vizuālās komunikācijas un ekoloģiskās valences teorijas.
