Local aromaticity in polyacenes manifested by individual proton and carbon shieldings: DFT mapping of aromaticity

Exponential dependencies between locally calculated geometric and magnetic indexes of aromaticity, harmonic oscillator model of aromaticity (HOMA) and nucleus independent chemical shifts (NICS)(0), NICS(1) and NICS(1)zz, and the number of conjugated benzene rings in linear acenes, from benzene to decacene were observed at B3LYP/6-311+G** level of theory. Correlations between HOMA and NICS indexes showed exponential dependencies and were fitted with simple three-parameter function. Similar correlations between both indexes of aromaticity and proton and carbon nuclear isotropic shieldings of individual acene rings were observed. The polymerisation of ethylene was carried out in the presence of (C5H5)2TiCl2/(C2H5)2AlCl in benzene (I) and of TiCl4/(C2H5)AlCl2 in chlorobenzene (II). In the initial state of the polymerisation with I oligomers with a narrow molecular weight distribution are formed. According to their IR and NMR spectra they were identified as predominantly saturated linear hydrocarbons. The effect of a substitution of the cyclopentadienyl rings by R = CH3 and C2H5 was studied as well as the influence of aging particularly on the molecular weight distribution. Discerning the Origins of the Amplitude Fluctuations in Dynamic Raman Nanospectroscopy

International audience; We introduce a novel experimental and analytical method for discerning rare surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) events observable at the nanoscale. We show that the kinetics of the Raman activity recorded on an isolated nanostructure is punctuated by intense and rare events of large amplitude and spectral variations. The fluctuations of thousands of SERS spectra were analyzed statistically in terms of power density functions, and the occurrence of the rare events was quantified by a wavenumber statistics. Przedmiotem niniejszego opracowania jest ustalenie, w jakich wzajemnych relacjach twórca Konstytucji RP z 1997 r. usytuował naród i państwo. W tekście przedstawiono dwa przeciwstawne nurty, wskazujące, jak postrzegany jest ten stosunek w literaturze tzw. państw zachodu oraz państw, które wstąpiły do tego grona w przeciągu ostatnich dekad.
