The bifunctional nucleophile methylhydrazine reacts in an alkaline medium in a regioselective mode with chalcones to yield 2-pyrazolines, which can be oxidized by DDQ to the corresponding 1H-pyrazoles. From oligo(chalcone)s this reaction yields cross-conjugated compounds with an alternating sequence of 1,4-disubstituted benzene rings and 3,5-disubstituted 1H-pyrazole rings. Ādas mezenhimālo cilmes šūnu fenotipa izvērtējums 2D un 3D šūnu kultūrās

3D šūnu kultūras labāk atspoguļo šūnu mijiedarbību organismā, salīdzinājumā ar standarta 2D kultūrām. Šūnu fenotips 3D var mainīties un ietekmēt šūnu īpašības. Bakalaura darba mērķis bija raksturot mezenhimālo cilmes šūnu (MCŠ) fenotipu 2D un 3D šūnu kultūrās. 3D šūnu kultūra tika inducēta ar polyHEMA pārklājumu. Šūnu dzīvotspēja, MCŠ virsmas marķieri CD90, CD73, CD105, CD34, CD45, CD271 un pluripotences marķieri Oct4, SSEA-1, SSEA-4 tika analizēti 2D un 3D MCŠ kultūrā, izmantojot plūsmas citometrijas metodi. MCŠ dzīvotspēja 2D un 3D kultūrā būtiski neatšķīrās. CD90 ekspresija 3D kultūrā pēc 48h kultivēšanas samazinājās līdz 54%. 4% D6 MCŠ pēc 24h kultivēšanas 3D ekspresēja CD271. SSEA-4 ek…

Akūtas mezenteriālās išēmijas iznākumu analīze

Aktualitāte. Akūta mezenteriālā išēmija ir smaga vēdera dobuma patoloģija. Slimība ir raksturīga vecāka gadagājuma cilvēkiem, bet sakarā ar populācijas novecošanos, akūtu mezenteriālu išēmiju arvien biežāk sastop klīniskajā praksē. Mirstība pie akūtas mezenteriālās išēmijas sasniedz 70 – 100%. Materiāli un metodes. Retrospektīvā pētījumā tika iekļauti 145 slimnieki ar akūtu mezenteriālu išēmiju, kuri ārstējas RAKUS stacionārā “Gaiļezers” periodā no 01.01.2011. līdz 31.12.2015. Tika veikta medicīniskās dokumentācijas analīze un datubāzes izveidošana. Background Due to its extraordinary chemical properties, the cysteine amino acid residue is often involved in protein folding, electron driving, sensing stress, and binding metals such as iron or zinc. Lactococcus lactis, a Gram-positive bacterium, houses around one hundred cysteine-rich proteins (with the CX2C motif) in the cytoplasm, but only a few in the membrane. Results In order to understand the role played by this motif we focused our work on two membrane proteins of unknown function: Llmg_0524 and Llmg_0526. Ar Lī sindromu saistīto mitohondriālās DNS variantu ietekme uz gēnu ekspresiju

Lī sindroms ir reta iedzimta progresējoša neirodeģeneratīva mitohondriālā slimība, kas parasti sāk izpausties jau zīdaiņa vecumā vai agrā bērnībā. Lī sindromu var izraisīt izmaiņas gan kodola, gan mitohondriju genomā. Patogēni varianti mitohondriju genomā var ietekmēt kodola gēnu ekspresiju caur mitohondriju atgriezenisko regulāciju. Maģistra darba mērķis bija noskaidrot divu, ar Lī sindromu saistītu, mitohondriālās DNS (mtDNS) variantu ietekmi uz gēnu ekspresiju. International audience; The overall value of the Ghosh model is appraised. Its treatment of quantities and prices is scrutinized by examining the variant with data in quantities and prices, and the variant with data in value and price indexes. The methodology involves returning to the accounting equations and shows that: (i) the Ghosh model offers solutions of limited interest, being incapable of providing prices or price indexes separately from quantities; (ii) what is taken to be the equation of Ghosh's value model is actually that of Ghosh's physical model; (iii) the Ghosh model may serve for cost-push exercises, but the dual of the Leontief model performs the same task in a much simpler…
