[EN] We present a model based on activities for the acquisition of essential competences of the scientific-technical qualifications, developed throughout the course of Cell Biology of the 1st year of the Degree in Biotechnology. For example, the search and analysis of bibliographic information and the design and interpretation of experiments are closely related and very important competences in the training of the biotechnologist, however they are not well contemplated in a specific way in the study plans. The proposed activities, designed under the premises of the constructive alignment of Biggs and Tang, develop these competences jointly and within the framework of a single subject.
The microcybergames and the learning of the Social Sciences: The java world

The possibilities and didactic limitations of the computer games stand out. The utility of the microcybergames in the educative surrounings of Internet is put of relief. In Java, the designs of the microcybergames are studied, emphasizing the advantages of predesigned applet over the ones generated by some author created tools. A selection of flexible and gratuitous applet with possible didactic use is made. Examples of applications of these applets in proper contents of Social Sciences in the no university curricula are incorporated.
Use of the Barthel Index to Assess Activities of Daily Living before and after SARS-COVID 19 Infection of Institutionalized Nursing Home Patients

The objective of the present study was to evaluate the activities of daily living (ADLs) using the Barthel Index before and after infection with the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and also to determine whether or not the results varied according to gender. The ADLs of 68 cohabiting geriatric patients, 34 men and 34 women, in two nursing homes were measured before and after SARS-CoV-2 (Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19)) infection. COVID-19 infection was found to affect the performance of ADLs in institutionalized elderly in nursing homes, especially in the more elderly subjects, regardless of sex. Online sexual activities in Hispanic women: A chance for non-heterosexual women?

Abstract: Sexuality is still modulated by social determinants that promote a passive role for women. In the recent decades, some findings have supported the influence of the Internet on sexuality. However, the relevance of online sexual activities for some groups such as Hispanic young women is still unknown. In this context, this study examines online sexual experience among 310 Hispanic women from Argentina, Mexico and Spain; as well as the role of their offline sexuality and country in this sexual pattern.
