Set in a small town in the north of Finland, the crime TV series Ivalo (Arctic Circle, Finland, 2018) exemplifies the fascination of Nordic Noir with ‘remote’ locations as scenes of transnational crime. The plot seems to forebode the corona pandemic, portraying the spread of a life-threatening ‘Yemenite virus’ developed as a biological weapon from the Balkans to Lapland. In this article, I analyze how the virus narrative allows the series to bring new perspectives on Nordic Noir. First observation of high-K isomeric states in $$^{249}$$Md and $$^{251}$$Md

Decay spectroscopy of the odd-proton nuclei $^{249}$Md and $^{251}$Md has been performed. High-K isomeric states were identified for the first time in these two nuclei through the measurement of their electromagnetic decay. An isomeric state with a half-life of 2.8(5) ms and an excitation energy $\ge 910$ keV was found in $^{249}$Md. In $^{251}$Md, an isomeric state with a half-life of 1.4(3) s and an excitation energy $\ge 844$ keV was found. Similarly to the neighbouring $^{255}$Lr, these two isomeric states are interpreted as 3 quasi-particle high-K states and compared to new theoretical calculations. Arkistointi on hävittämisen taidetta. Kun työkalut ovat hallussa, tietää lainalaisuudet ja käytettävät standardit, voi keskittyä tähän taitolajiin, mitä säilyttää ja mitä hävittää. Tässä työssäni tarkastelen sähköisen arkistoinnin ja pitkäaikaissäilytykset peruskäsitteet, merkittävimmät standardit ja ohjelmistot. Lisäksi avaan lainalaisuuksia ja koitan selvittää kuinka lainsäädäntö säätelee sähköistä arkistointia. Tutkin kuusi suomessa toteutettua julkishallinnon arkistointi ja/tai pitkäaikaissäilytysratkaisua. Tämä tutkimus käsittelee yhteisopetuksen opettajille tarjoamia oppimismahdollisuuksia. Tutkimuskysymyksemme on: Mitä opettajat kokivat oppineensa yhteisopetuksen aikana? Opettajat kokevat oppilaiden yksilöllisten tarpeiden huomioonottamisen suurissa opetusryhmissä yhä haastavammaksi, mikä lisää opettajan työn kuormittavuutta. Tämän myötä opettajat ovat yhä kiinnostuneempia vertaistuesta ja opettajien välisen yhteistyön kehittämisestä. Yhteisopetus voi olla vastaus myös erityisopetusta koskeviin lakimuu-toksiin sekä inkluusion tavoitteeseen, jonka mukaan kaikkien oppilaiden tulisi saada opiskella samassa luokassa. The power of the economic outlook : an ideational explanation of the distinct pattern of Finnish wage setting within the Nordic context

Industrial relations scholars are paying increasing attention to the role of ideas in explaining shifts in bargaining systems and wage policies. This article contributes to this growing body of literature by conducting a meso-level analysis of the uses and impacts of ideas in wage regulation policy processes in coordinated market economies. This study investigates how the transition to remote work during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic is experienced by employees. We investigate to what extent perceived work stressors relate to psychological strain through perceptions of social support, work-life conflict, and adjustment to remote work. The findings expound the mechanisms underlying psychological strain in the context of sudden organizational change. Specifically, this study shows that both challenge stressors and hindrance stressors have negative impact on adjustment to remote work, whereas hindrance stressors are more strongly negatively related to social support.
