Atlas of the Baltic Languages: Plant Names of Slavonic Origin The article investigates Slavonic-derived plant names in dialects of the two surviving Baltic languages – Latvian and Lithuanian. Historically, these Slavonisms were originally adopted by small-scale regional dialects, which are now disappearing. In 2009, a pilot study for the Atlas of the Baltic Languages was published. It comprised 12 geo-linguistic maps with Latvian, Lithuanian and English commentaries. 2012 saw the publication, in CD format, of the Atlas ’s first volume: Lexis 1: Flora . L'analisi condotta nel saggio ne illumina il percorso e ne rintraccia le influenze in un quadro epistemologico comparato e allo scopo di differenziarla dalla cosiddetta prassi del realismo socialista. Ismail Kadare's narrative work is among the most important in contemporary Albanian literature. The analysis conducted in the essay illuminates its path and traces its influences in a comparative epistemological framework and in order to differentiate it from the so-called praxis of socialist realism.

Political, economic and military framework of the Albanian immigration in Sicily in the 15th Century. The Crown of Aragon plays a leading role in the Western politics towards Othman expansion and conquest in the Balcans, together with the Italian merchant cities. The article describes the premises of the support given by Alfonso the Magnanimous to the Albanian resistence leaded by Giorgio Skanderbeg and to the immigration of Albanian people to Southern Italy after the Othman conquest of their land.

The article examines certain plots of the “Blok theme” in the 1920s Riga periodicals, which had not previously attracted the attention of researchers. The Russian press of independent Latvia (1919 –1940) has preserved many tens, if not hundreds, of articles, correspondences, documents, poetic texts dedicated to A.A. Blok’s personality and works. Among them are memoirs of people who were familiar with the poet, met with him, listened to his speeches. L'obiettivo del nostro studio era di fornire una validazione linguistica della checklist in albanese per gli indicatori di dolore non verbale (CNPI).
