Dietary Magnesium and Incident Frailty in Older People at Risk for Knee Osteoarthritis: An Eight-Year Longitudinal Study.

Inadequate magnesium (Mg) intake is associated with lower physical performance, but the relationship with frailty in older people is unclear. Therefore, we aimed to investigate whether higher dietary Mg intake is associated with a lower risk of frailty in a large cohort of North American individuals. Italian law gives the right to a maintenance allowance to the spouse who does not have ?mezzi adeguati?. The assumption consisting in the ?mancanza di mezzi adeguati?, originally understood by the Joint Sections of the Italian Cassation of 1990 as a lack of resources to maintain the standard of living enjoyed during the marriage, was understood by the Court of Cassation in 2017 as a lack of resources of guaranteeing independence or economic self-sufficiency. This study evaluates the relation of a Mediterranean dietary pattern and its individual components with the cardiovascular risk factors profile, plasma glucose and body mass index (BMI) in people with type 2 diabetes. We studied 2568 participants at 57 diabetes clinics. Diet was assessed with the EPIC (European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition) questionnaire, adherence to the Mediterranean diet was evaluated with the relative Mediterranean diet score (rMED).
