Application of analogy in the teaching of french in China
2014
The analogy refers to a non-coincidental similarity between two things or two ideas of different nature. It is a cognitive process whereby information attached to a specific element is transferred to another specific element, and plays an important role in the process of memorization, communication and problem solving. It is used as a method in many disciplines, it also has its own definition in different areas. In linguistic research, the analogy is also a very interesting topic. According to our research, we find that the analogy has an important influence on the creation and the evolution of a language, when we learn a language, the correct analogy also plays a positive role, it is possi…
2012
The recent discovery of mirror neurons has rivived the gestural-imitative theory of the origin of language advocated by Condillac in the XVIIIth century. Condillac develops this theory in two stages: in the Essai (1746) he proposes a gestural theory based on the arbitrariness of the sign, while in the Grammaire (1775) he refuses arbitrariness and accepts the theory of analogy and natural imitation proposed by Charles de Brosses (1765). This choice depends on the fact that in Rousseau (1755) and Beauzee (1765) arbitrariness, as a "paradox of the original contract", now plays the role of key argument in favor of the divine origin of language. So, the theory of analogy and natural imitation is…
The mental lexicon in french foreign language vocabulary teaching and learning : the case of the acquisition of the past perfect by Colombian L3 fren…
2016
This research presents the force that manifests the mental lexicon in teaching vocabulary in French as a foreign language. This experimental action research was developed with the experimental French group II EG from the program of modern languages at the University of Quindio in Armenia City, in Colombia. Students presented a low level in oral and written French activities. The lack of vocabulary was a recurrent element in the expression of the language. The purpose of this research is therefore focused on improving vocabulary acquisition in French through a series of learning sessions of the French’s present perfect taking into account the three pillars of the knowledge of words expressin…
ESP
Analogy experience of sound and speech : from perception to meaning
2018
Like any human experience, the relationship to sound calls for language, which contributes to engaging it in the lives of individuals and communities. Speakers, though, often claim to encounter special difficulties when talking about acoustic phenomena. Should this situation be attributed to the essential irreductibility of percept to speech, to possible deficiencies of language in the field of auditory experience or to the specificity of a situation in which speech, bound both by signans and signatum to sound, has to reactivate the semiotic process at its source? Highlighting the fact that talking about soundsalways means talking about our relation to acoustic phenomena, this study is base…
Analogismi, relazioni e nessi concettuali
2018
TORSIONAL STRESS CONCENTRATIONS IN SHAFTS: FROM ELECTRICAL ANALOGIES TO NUMERICAL METHODS
2013
This paper presents the historical development of methods used for the study of torsional stresses in shafts. In particular the paper covers both analog methods, in particular those based on electrical analogies proposed since about 1925, and numerical methods, in particular finite difference methods (FDM), finite element methods (FEM) and boundary elements (BEM).

2009
On the history of torsional stress concentrations in shafts: From electrical analogies to numerical methods
2014
This article proposes a retrospective on experimental and numerical methods developed throughout the past century to solve the torsion problem in shafts, with particular emphasis on the determination of shear stress concentration factors in discontinuities of typical use in shaft design. This article, in particular, presents the theory and related solutions distinguishing between two classes of geometries: shafts with constant cross section and axisymmetric shafts with variable diameter. Emphasis is given to approaches based on physical analog methods and, in particular, those based on electrical analogies proposed since about 1925. Experimental methods based on structural physical models …
