Predicción del estado nutricional a través de la calidad de vida y el patrón del sueño en ancianos con deterioro cognitivo

Resumen Objetivo: establecer y analizar una posible relación entre el estado nutricional, el patrón de sueño y la calidad de vida en una muestra de pacientes con disfunción cognitiva. Participantes y método: estudio observacional y descriptivo de un grupo de casos con una muestra constituida por 48 personas mayores (65 años o más) que aceptaron participar en el estudio y vivían en Valencia (España). Nutritional status and all-cause mortality in older adults with acute coronary syndrome.

Background & aims The present analysis investigated the prevalence and the prognostic implication of nutritional status in older adults hospitalized for acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Methods The analysis is based on older ACS patients included in the FRASER and LONGEVO SCA studies. The Global Risk of Acute Coronary Events (GRACE) risk score was computed in all patients. Trace elements levels in centenarian ‘dodgers’

Trace element bioavailability can play a role in several metabolic and physiological pathways known to be altered during the aging process. We aimed to explore the association of trace elements with increased lifespan by analyzing the circulating levels of seven trace elements (Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Mo, Se and Zn) in a cohort of healthy centenarians or ‘dodgers’ (≥100 years, free of major age-related diseases) in comparison with sex-matched younger elderly controls. Few studies have examined the association of a wide range of metabolites with total and subtypes of coffee consumption. The aim of this study was to investigate associations of plasma metabolites with total, caffeinated, and decaffeinated coffee consumption.
