Data Compression Approach for Long-Term Monitoring of Pavement Structures

Pavement structures are designed to withstand continuous damage during their design life. Damage starts as soon as the pavement is open to traffic and increases with time. If maintenance activities are not considered in the initial design or considered but not applied during the service life, damage will grow to a point where rehabilitation may be the only and most expensive option left. Nowadays, CMOS image sensors are almost exclusively architectured around analog pixels. A transition to purely digital pixels would significantly improve the performances of imagers. Unfortunately, such an approach is difficult to consider because it causes an oversized and unusable pixel for the consumer market. Fluxapyroxad is a new-generation carboxamide fungicide, with residues increasingly being found in food samples. Immunochemical assays have gained acceptance in food quality control as rapid, cost-effective, sensitive, and selective methods for large sample throughput and in situ applications. Mid-infrared supercontinuum generation in chalcogenide and telluride fibers for sensor devices

This thesis reports on the progress made during my PhD concerning supercontinuum generation and its application in two types of materials: chalcogenide and tellurite glasses. Concerning the chalcogenide axis, two new arsenic-free compositions are developed: Ge20Se60Te20 and Ge20Se70Te10. Thermal and optical properties of these two glasses are studied and two types of fibers are manufactured: a step-index fiber and a suspended core fiber. The generation of supercontinuum in these two fibres, pumped by an optical parametric amplifier, gives competitive results compared to the current state of the art of supercontinuum generation in chalcogenide fibres. Circulating specific antibodies enhance systemic cross-priming by delivery of complexed antigen to dendritic cells in vivo

Increasing evidence suggests that antibodies can have stimulatory effects on T-cell immunity. However, the contribution of circulating antigen-specific antibodies on MHC class I cross-priming in vivo has not been conclusively established. Here, we defined the role of circulating antibodies in cross-presentation of antigen to CD8(+) T cells. Mice with hapten-specific circulating antibodies, but naϊve for the T-cell antigen, were infused with haptenated antigen and CD8(+) T-cell induction was measured. This contribution deals with relations between regional organizations and the UN Security Council under Chapter VIII of the UN Charter. In this respect, the most recent trends are a shift from subsidiarity to a more equal partnership between these two subjects. The two models of action by delegation or authorization of the Security Council are in fact autonomous. This is demonstrated by the preparatory works of the UN Charter and subsequent practice. The model of authorized regional action enriches the range of instruments that the United Nations Charter provides for the maintenance of peace and collective security.
