Crystal structure, Hirshfeld surface analysis and DFT studies of (E)-1-(4-bromophenyl)-3-(3-fluorophenyl)prop-2-en-1-one

The title halogenated organic chalcone was prepared by a Claisen–Schmidt condensation reaction. A Hirshfeld surface analysis was carried out to reveal the percentage contributions of the intermolecular interactions. A theoretical study was performed using the density functional theory (DFT) at B3LYP with the 6–311 G++(d,p) basis set level to compare with the experimental results of the X-ray analysis and UV–vis absorption analysis in term of the geometrical parameters, HOMO-LUMO energy gap and charge distributions.

Tas paredzēts NINO lietotājiem ērtākai un savām vajadzībām pielāgojamai datu izmaiņu vēstures pārlūkošanai. Risinājums atvieglo gan Latvijas pašvaldību nodokļu inspektoru darbu, gan šo darbinieku kontroli ar datu izmaiņām saistītos jautājumos, kā arī samazina nepieciešamību griezties pēc palīdzības pie NINO klientu konsultantiem. The main goal of this thesis is to explore the inter-basin connection between the eastern and the western Mediterranean (E- and W-Med, respectively) during the last deglacial and Holocene periods (last 15 kyr). The thesis is based on the study of a sediment core recovered at the west flank of Sicily channel (W-Sicily), strategically located under the current path of the surface Atlantic waters and directly below the present-day hydrographic boundary layer between the Eastern Mediterranean Sourced Water (EMSW) and the Western Mediterranean Deep Water (WMDW). Abstract Molecular monitoring of bacterial communities can explain and predict the stability of bioprocesses in varying physicochemical conditions. To study methanol-fed denitrification biofilters of municipal wastewater treatment plants, bacterial communities of two full-scale biofilters were compared through fingerprinting and sequencing of the 16S rRNA genes. Additionally, 16S rRNA gene fingerprinting was used for 10-week temporal monitoring of the bacterial community in one of the biofilters. Despite high performance, municipal wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) still discharge significant amounts of organic material and nitrogen and even microbes into the receiving water bodies, altering physico-chemical conditions and microbial functions. In this study, we examined how nitrified wastewater affects the microbiology of boreal lake sediments. Environmental control on granular clinoforms of ancient carbonate shelves

The purpose of this paper is to document the influence of depositional environments on shallow-water, low-relief clinoforms from the description of five ancient carbonate platforms: the Neoproterozoic (Namibia), Middle Jurassic (France), Lower Cretaceous (France), Upper Cretaceous (Oman) and Miocene (Turkey). These examples have been investigated on the basis of field observations.
