We assessed if a 17-item score capturing adherence to a traditional Mediterranean diet (MedDiet) was associated with better health-related quality of life among older Spanish men and women with overweight or obesity harboring the metabolic syndrome. We analyzed baseline data from 6430 men and women (age 55-70 years) participating in the PREDIMED-Plus study. Background: The Bladder Cancer Index (BCI) is so far the only instrument applicable across all bladder cancer patients, independent of tumor infiltration or treatment applied. We developed a Spanish version of the BCI, and assessed its acceptability and metric properties. Methods: For the adaptation into Spanish we used the forward and back-translation method, expert panels, and cognitive debriefing patient interviews. For the assessment of metric properties we used data from 197 bladder cancer patients from a multi-center prospective study. Los efectos tardíos abarcan múltiples aspectos: médicos, neurocognitivos/educativos y sociales /comportamentales. ResumenEl objetivo del presente estudio fue analizar el impacto percibido por parte de los alumnos como resultado de su participación en el programa de la Universidad de la Experiencia de la Universidad de La Rioja. La muestra estuvo formada por 83 alumnos de dicho programa. Al grupo de estudiantes se les aplicó un cuestionario diseñado ad hoc para evaluar potenciales resultados a diferentes niveles: general, educativo, social, afectivo, cognitivo, físico y afectividad negativa.
