Synthesis and Reactivity of 2-Aminophenylpalladium(II) Complexes: Insertion Reactions of Oxygen and Carbon Monoxide into Carbon−Palladium Bonds—New E…
1999
Insertion of CO into 2-aminophenylpalladium complexes leads to 2-aminobenzoylpalladium derivatives. When these compounds are forced to coordinate a carbon donor and a phosphane ligand in the trans position, a C−P coupling process or an insertion of oxygen occurs (see scheme). In this case, a dinuclear palladium complex containing a bridging anthranilato ligand is isolated.
ChemInform Abstract: Synthesis and Spectroscopic Characterizations of Both 1-Ethyl-4,8- dihydro-10-methoxy-3-methyl-8-R1-6-R2-dipyrazolo(3,4-b:4′,3′-…
2010
The non-selective methylation of compounds 3a-d using ethereal diazomethane, allowed the synthesis of isomers 4 and 5 which were useful intermediates for the preparation, by a simple approach, of the title compounds 7 and 9. A complete assignment of the chemical shifts to the carbon atoms of the compounds 7 and 9 was performed by different nmr experiments, such as DEPT and XHDEPT for onebond CH correlations and COLOC experiments for long-range C-H correlations.
Sesquiterpene lactones, flavonoids and coumarins from Centaurea collina

4-(1,1,3,3-Tetrameth…
Fast Solution Precursor Synthesis of the 2223 Phase: the Role of Lead in the Reaction Pathway
1994
ABSTRACTValuable mechanistic information, about the reaction pathway in the formation of the 2223 phase, has been obtained by the use of a solution synthesis route. The presence of lead in the starting mixture has remarkable effects on the nature and stability of the different intermediates: i) the grain size and morphology of Bi2CuO4 is severely changed, ii) calcium carbonate is partially decomposed to yield the calcium plumbate, iii) the 2201 phase results stabilized against the formation of the collapsed phase Bi17Sr16Cu7O49-δ, iv) the melting point of the intermediate 2212 is lowered by about 10 °C. All these effects, due to lead substitution, contribute to promote the formation of the …
Synthesis, characterization and crystal structure of 2-dicyanomethylene-1,3-bis(ferrocenylmethyl)-1,3-diazolidine
1993
By reaction of N,N′-ethylenebis(ferrocenylmethylamine)1 with tetracyanoethylene in dichloromethane the yellow compound 2-dicyanomethylene-1,3-bis(ferrocenylmethyl)-1,3-diazolidine 2 can be isolated. The single-crystal structure of 2 has been determined. It crystallizes in the non-centrosymmetric trigonal space group P3221, a= 12.255(2), c= 13.831(7)A, Z= 3. Refinement of the atomic parameters by least-squares techniques gave a final R factor of 0.038 (R′= 0.034) for 1782 observed reflections having I > 2.5δ(I). Anomalous values of the bond distances and the vinyl carbon chemical shift in the 13C NMR spectrum of 2 are explained on the basis of a polarization due to a combination of the elect…
Electroactivation of Transition Metal Redox Couples for the Carbonylation of Alcohols to Dialkylcarbonates
1998
Electrochemical systems which promote the carbonylation of methanol to dimethylcarbonate, based on the anodic activation of transition metal redox couples, or the Br−/Br2 couple, are poorly active for the carbonylation of ethanol to diethylcarbonate at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. Positive results have been obtained by combined addiction of PdBr2 and Bu4NBr to the system. In this way yields up to 50% in diethylcarbonate were obtained, with very good conductivities in long range electrolyses.

ChemInform Abstract: Homogeneous Metal-Based Catalysis in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide as Reaction Medium
2016
Above 31.1 °C and 73.8 bar, carbon dioxide reaches the supercritical state, being transformed into a fluid (scCO2) that has attracted interest in the last few decades as reaction medium for several transition-metal-catalyzed organic transformations. The main feature of this fluid rests on its capability to dissolve large amounts of other gases such as hydrogen, carbon monoxide, ethylene, or even methane and light alkanes. In this manner, very high concentrations of these reactants are available for catalysis. In this contribution a review of the main achievements of the use of transition-metal complexes as catalysts in scCO2 is presented.
