We start from the technology transfer model to analyse how schools receive their activities and incorporate technological equipment. Particularly, we analyse the innovations generated by these processes at the organizational level of schools as recipients of technology. The studied data are broken down in an investigation currently being performed in 12 regions on the School 2.0 program. The integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in education supposes that faculty must possess competencies for it. In this paper, it is analyzed how gender, age and type of educational institution influence teacher’s knowledge about different technological resources. The study is based in a survey design, whose population is made up of teachers from Primary and Secondary educational institutions in the Comunidad Valenciana, both public as private ones. Invisible Graffiti on Your Buildings: Blind and Squaring-Proof Watermarking of Geographical Databases

Due to the ease of digital copy, watermarking is crucial to protect the intellectual property of rights owners. We propose an effective watermarking method for vectorial geographical databases, with the focus on the buildings layer. Embedded watermarks survive common geographical filters, including the essential squaring and simplification transformations, as well as deliberate removal attempts, e.g. by noise addition, cropping or over-watermarking. On the use of neighbourhood-based non-parametric classifiers

Alternative non-parametric classification schemes, which come from the use of different definitions of neighbourhood, are introduced. In particular, the Nearest Centroid Neighbourhood along with the neighbourhood relation derived from the Gabriel Graph and the Relative Neighbourhood Graph are used to define the corresponding (k-)Nearest Neighbour-like classifiers. Experimental results are reported to compare the performance of the approaches proposed here to the one obtained with the k-Nearest Neighbours rule.
Cluster classification of dysphagia-oriented products considering flow, thixotropy and oscillatory testing

Abstract The present paper proposes an objective classification of commercial thickened food widely used in patients with dysphagia. A total of 34 commercial enteral nutrition products were analyzed (beverages, main courses and desserts) corresponding to 6 different commercial brands. All these products contain different hydrocolloids (i.e., starch, xanthan gum, carrageenans, etc.) as thickeners, in order to get the desired texture. In the mammalian oocyte, distinct patterns of centromeres and pericentromeric heterochromatin localisation correlate with the gamete’s developmental competence. Mouse antral oocytes display two main types of chromatin organisation: SN oocytes, with a ring of Hoechst-positive chromatin surrounding the nucleolus, and NSN oocytes lacking this ring. When matured to MII and fertilised, only SN oocytes develop beyond the 2-cell, and reach full term. To give detailed information on the dynamics of the SN or NSN chromatin during meiosis resumption, we performed a 9 hr time-lapse observation. Localization of constitutive hsp70 in eggs and early embryos of sea urchin Paracentrotus lividus is shown by means of in situ immunostaining. An accumulation of this protein is shown in the mitotic structures (asters, spindles and centrosomes). Microinjection of anti-hsp70 antibodies into eggs causes impairment of formation of mitotic structures and of cell division. This impairment goes from a complete mitotic block, to irregular mitotic apparatus formation with irregular cleavage, depending upon the antibody concentration. The localization of hsp70 after antibody microinjection is also described. Blockage of mitotic apparatus formation by nocodazole also blocks the concentration of hsp70 …
