This first synthesis concerns the animal bones, discovered since 1975 in Aventicum, the capital of Roman Switzerland. It is supported by the analysis of several residential districts, public sectors and suburbs, which represent five hundred chronological complexes and 74000 animal bones, dated from the Ist, to the IVth Century AD. During these centuries, Aventicum was incorporated to the Roman province of Gallia Belgica, then was raised to the status of a colonia and finally declined with the Empire.The analysis of bones was made to study various mutations which occurred during the occupation of the city. Lithic Management in the Chassey Culture Neolithic

The integrated technological approach of the lithic industries in Southern France Chassey culture and neighbouring cultures is a way to highlight a complex organisation of space. The development of long distance diffusion networks of lithic products from western Provence creates interdependence between producing-exporting sites and receiving-consuming sites. The analysis of their functioning, from raw material sources until remote consuming sites, is undergone on various scales (from supra-regional to local), through lithic technology and use wear analysis.

Les restes osseux

Le site de Roanne, occupé pendant plusieurs siècles, offre l'occasion de suivre l'évolution sur place d'un certain nombre de paramètres relatifs à la morphologie et à la gestion des animaux domestiques. Cette étude porte sur les restes osseux antérieurs au milieu de l'époque augustéenne. Parmi ceux-ci, l'échantillon étudié systématiquement a été réduit à un ensemble de séries cohérentes provenant du remplissage d'une trentaine de fosses bien datées. Des ensembles plus récents, répartis sur la totalité du Haut-Empire, ont seulement été mis à contribution ponctuellement pour compléter les séries de mensurations.
