The current study aimed to examine the nature of the coupling between olfactory stimuli from the mother and the newborn's crawling and rooting (exploratory movements of the head). Lower thoracic spine extension mobility is associated with higher intensity of thoracic spine pain

Objectives: To evaluate the association of thoracic spine (TS) posture and mobility with TS pain. Methods: Participants with TS pain reported maximum, average, and night pain in TS area, and pain summary score was calculated. Upright and sitting TS postures were evaluated by inspection. TS posture and mobility (flexion and extension) were recorded using an inclinometer and a tape measure, respectively. Correlations between posture and mobility assessments were calculated using Spearman rank correlation, the association of TS posture and mobility with TS pain by logistic regression analysis. This study offers a brief excursus on the adoption in Italy, focusing on the legislative choice (as ruled by the “Civil Partnership Act”)1 not to grant the stepchild adoption (SCA) to the partners of the registered partnerships, called unioni civili. When the Act was discussed by the Parliament, there was an hard debate on filiation in same-sex couple: the right to be a couple for same-sex partners has been less problematic than providing for a specific right to parenthood. The school-based promotion of physical activity (PA) is a great opportunity to reach the majority of school-aged children. Aside from many physical health benefits, participation in physical activities can foster social well-being and interaction. The purpose of this study was to investigate changes in PA and school-related social factors, as well as their associations in school-aged children in schools which participated in the Finnish Schools on the Move programme and its pilot phase in 2010–2012. Praca domowa ucznia stanowi integralną część procesu dydaktyczno-wychowawczego. Dopiero w połączeniu z pracą domową lekcja szkolna tworzy pełną jednostkę procesu nauczania. Pogląd na rolę i wartość domowej pracy ucznia ulegał na przestrzeni dziejów nauczania szkolnego licznym zmianom. Aktualnie kwestia prac domowych jest szeroko dyskutowana, zarówno przez rodziców, jak i nauczycieli. Niektóre szkoły całkowicie z nich rezygnują, a inne ich bronią jako ważnego narzędzia edukacyjnego. Celem artykułu jest wyeksponowanie elementów potwierdzających konieczność pozostawienia prac domowych jako obowiązujących w procesie kształcenia oraz wskazanie czynników negujących potrzebę dalszego ich istnienia.
