Influence of biotic and abiotic factors on soil organic matter dynamics assessed by the biogeochemical characterisation of soluble organic matter
2014
Soils are the greatest reservoir of C on the continents, and organic matter mineralisation bymicrobial activity represents the major part of the CO2 emitted by terrestrial ecosystems. In this work, we studied water-extractable organic matter (WEOM), which corresponds to themore reactive fraction of soil organic matter (SOM). Our objectives were (i) to identify therelationships of WEOM dynamics with bacterial communities, and with soil physico-chemicalparameters; (ii) to provide a precise chemical characterisation of WEOM.There is a strong link between SOM solubility and the structure of bacterial communities, andan erosion of their diversity has an impact on SOM and WEOM dynamics, and leads …

Customer relationship management (CRM) is a term that emerged in the middle of the 1990's, and that is often used to describe computerized tools that provide services to consumers before, during and after a sale. These consumers have followed the transformation of the Web that has happened in the last few years, where each user becomes a supplier of content using tools like, amongst others, social networks by sharing resources, content, and annotating. General use social networks, such as Facebook or Twitter, are now used daily by a very large number of users.Companies have to follow this evolution and include social networks as a new communication channel in order to interact with their cli…
Temporal Semantic Centrality for the Analysis of Communication Networks
2012
Temporal dynamics of arable weeds communities assembly : interactions between farming practices and ecological processes across crop sequences
2018
Understanding how farming practices affect weed community assembly in arable fields is a core challenge of agro-ecology. Weeds are supposed to share particular ecological characteristics that allow them to colonize arable fields despite environmental constrains exert by farming practices. In addition, interactions between ecological processes operating during a cropping season (eg: abiotic filtering) and at the scale of crop succession (eg: temporal dispersal) are supposed to drive weed community assembly in arable fields. These two hypotheses have been tested in my phD work.First, we compared a pool of weed species to a pool of non-weed herbaceous plants based on several functional traits …
2012
During this internship I investigated the effects of habitats i.e. field margin or the core of the field, and of crop sequences weed taxonomic and functional diversity in arable fields. We selected 75 fields from a database of flora surveys that have been conducted since 2005 in the area of Fénay. In the 75 fieds, the flora was sampled four consecutive years. The indices of Shannon-Weaver, Simpson and Pielou and species richness were selected for taxonomic study, while Rao's quadratic entropy and the community weighted mean (CWM) of the traits in the community were used for the functional study. Four functional traits were selected for the analyses. Our results showed that all studied facto…
Comparison of different tillage systems in organic farming : effect of soil structure and organic matter repartition on soil micro-organisms and thei…
2009
Over the last decades, the surface traditionally ploughed has tended to decrease and replaced by shallow working tillage techniques without soil inversion, i.e., no tillage or reduced tillage with tines or discs. These techniques were mostly developed in conventional farming systems but nowadays they are also developed in organic farming systems. Nevertheless, these tillage techniques could generate crop nutrients deficiencies and a deterioration of soil structure, especially during the first years of their application. As the use of synthetic fertilizers is forbidden in organic farming, a decrease of the soil fertility could be very detrimental for crop growth. Indeed, soil micro-organisms…
Consequences of sown grass margin strip on weed flora
2010
The intensification of the management of weed populations, led by a potential decrease in the yield and quality of crop harvest, has largely induced their decline in arable zones across the last decades. This floristic decline in arable landscape, has induced a loss of a larger biodiversity because the presence of others organisms (birds, insects, mammals) are strongly linked with the abundance of trophic resources as weed are. To counter with this loss of biodiversity and to limit the negative impacts of farming practices on environment, numerous agri environmental schemes were launched through Europe. In France, sown grass strips were established by farmers along streams and rivers to lim…
