Taisnīga atlīdzība sabiedrības vajadzībām nepieciešamā nekustamā īpašuma atsavināšanas likuma kontekstā
2019
Sabiedrības vajadzībām nepieciešamā nekustamā īpašuma atsavināšanas likums paredz nekustamā īpašuma atsavināšanu sabiedrības vajadzībām labprātīgā vai piespiedu kārtā, saņemot taisnīgu atlīdzību. Pētījuma mērķis ir analizēt labprātīgas un piespiedu nekustamā īpašuma atsavināšanas sabiedrības vajadzībām procesa ietekmi uz taisnīgas atlīdzības noteikšanu nekustamā īpašuma īpašniekam. Iegūtie rezultāti liecina, ka slēdzot līgumu par labprātīgu nekustamā īpašuma atsavināšanu sabiedrības vajadzībām, nekustamā īpašuma īpašniekam ir lielākas iespējas iegūt taisnīgu atlīdzību Sabiedrības vajadzībām nepieciešamā nekustamā īpašuma atsavināšanas likuma kontekstā.
INTRODUZIONE AL D.LGS. 19 GENNAIO 2017, N. 3, DI ATTUAZIONE DELLA DIR. 2014/104/UE SUL RISARCIMENTO DEI DANNI PER VIOLAZIONE DELLA NORMATIVA ANTITRUST
2018
With the issuance of Legislative Decree January 19, 2017, no. 3 was implemented the…
A bi-allelic loss-of-function SARS1 variant in children with neurodevelopmental delay, deafness, cardiomyopathy, and decompensation during fever
2021
Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases (aaRS) are ubiquitously expressed enzymes responsible for ligating amino acids to their cognate tRNA molecules through an aminoacylation reaction. The resulting aminoacyl-tRNA is delivered to ribosome elongation factors to participate in protein synthesis. Seryl-tRNA synthetase (SARS1) is one of the cytosolic aaRSs and catalyzes serine attachment to tRNASer . SARS1 deficiency has already been associated with moderate intellectual disability, ataxia, muscle weakness, and seizure in one family. We describe here a new clinical presentation including developmental delay, central deafness, cardiomyopathy, and metabolic decompensation during fever leading to death, in a…
Religion and transnationalism: biographies of South Korean migrants – an empirical perspective
2014
As a result of studying interviews with Korean migrants (miners and nurses who moved to Germany and [some of them] further on to North America) we show how this group finds or “comes to religion”. After presenting a concept of religion, following the model of Ulrich Oevermann, parts of autobiographical narratives are analyzed and the complicated, intertwining and often conflicting relationships between religion and transnationalism are studied; we ask, among other things, if religion is becoming a compensation for moving back and forth between the home country and the country of residence. This discussion leads to further considerations concerning the connection between religion, church rel…
In light of the ends. Copyright hysteresis and private copy exception after the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA) and oth…
2015
In British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA) and others v Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, the High Court of Justice in matter of private copy exception provides the twofold prime opportunity to shed light on the state of the art of copyright in the UK and to flesh out the idea of 'legal hysteresis’. I support the reintroduction of the private copy exception, possibly in a less narrow fashion, and I explain the reasons why I am confident that my expectations will be fulfilled.
Executive remuneration determinants: New evidence from meta-analysis
2019
This meta-analysis takes stock of 121 C.E.O. pay studies published between 1998 and 2018 with the objective of identifying the main drivers of C.E.O. pay from a global perspective and contributing to the agency vs managerial debate on this ground. The meta-results disclose a positive C.E.O. pay–performance correlation (the highest correlation coefficient corresponds to Earnings per share with a 34%) as the agency theory prescribes and the governance policies promote. However, firm size still predominates as the main driver of C.E.O. pay (correlation coefficient is around 44%) according to managerial premises. Moreover, our results reconcile both approaches because results of the meta-regres…
Deep-water stromatolites andFrutexites Maslov from the early and Middle Jurassic of S-Germany and Austria
1993
Despite extensive discussions during the last 20 years stromatolites are still used by many geologists as unequivocal indicators of very shallow-water conditions. We investigated four stratigraphic units from the Lower and Middle Jurassic of southern Germany (Posidonien-Schiefer, Amaltheen-Ton) and of the Northern Calcareous Alps (Adneter Kalk, Klauskalk), which were formerly interpreted as shallow marine sediments by some authors due to the occurrence of stromatolites. Our interpretations of the macro-, micro- and ultrafacies of these sediments are not compatible with shallow-water settings. We therefore propose a deep-marine, aphotic origin of these stromatolites. Former interpretations o…
Energy compensation and adiposity in humans
2021
Publisher Copyright: © 2021 The Authors Understanding the impacts of activity on energy balance is crucial. Increasing levels of activity may bring diminishing returns in energy expenditure because of compensatory responses in non-activity energy expenditures.1–3 This suggestion has profound implications for both the evolution of metabolism and human health. It implies that a long-term increase in activity does not directly translate into an increase in total energy expenditure (TEE) because other components of TEE may decrease in response—energy compensation. We used the largest dataset compiled on adult TEE and basal energy expenditure (BEE) (n = 1,754) of people living normal lives to fi…
Changes in lung-cancer mortality trends in Spain
2001
Several changes in smoking patterns over the past decades in Spain can be expected to result in a shift in lung-cancer mortality rates. We examined time trends in lung-cancer mortality from 1973-1997 using a log-linear Poisson age-period-cohort model. The standardized lung-cancer mortality rate for men almost doubled, from 31.4 per 100,000 in 1973 to 58.6 in 1997, with an average annual increase of 2.7%. Mortality increased for male generations born until 1952 as a consequence of the increasing cigarette smoking in successive birth cohorts. However, the slight downward trend observed for the 2 youngest generations suggests a more favorable outcome of the lung-cancer epidemic among Spanish m…
