En este artículo, se presenta un estudio basado en corpus con el objetivo de determinar el nivel de creatividad (frente al de convencionalismo) en la traducción de los elementos culturales. Considerando la creatividad como el uso de aquellas estrategias que manipulan el material léxico del texto de origen, se utilizó la metodología de la lingüística de corpus para examinar un corpus trilingüe (español, inglés, italiano) formado por 50 novelas (25 obras originales y las 25 traducciones correspondientes). La norma desempeña un papel fundamental en el ámbito de la adquisición de las segundas lenguas (ASL), tanto en el proceso de aprendizaje-enseñanza que se desarrolla en el aula como en la investigación sobre la lengua de los aprendientes. Una lengua solo puede ser descrita a partir de un referente que se erige como el estado de lengua meta para el aprendiente, por lo que determina la selección y el tratamiento de las muestras de lengua aportadas en el aula, y, asimismo, se constituye como modelo con el que se contrasta el output lingüístico del alumno. Phrase Frames as an Exploratory Tool for Studying English-to-Polish Translation Patterns: A Descriptive Corpus-Based Study

Designed as a proof-of-concept, this descriptive corpus-based study focuses on the concept of phrase frame, defined as a contiguous sequence of n words identical except for one (Fletcher 2002). Although phrase frames were already used as a means of exploring pattern variability across and within different text types or registers written in English, they have been rarely, if ever, employed so far as a unit of analysis in descriptive research on translation. (Arabic name: Beithran ), is a medicinal and aromatic plant growing in the valley bottoms of desert areas, particularly in the southern desert of Jordan nearest to the Jordan-Saudi Arabia borders and in Wadi Araba in the Southern Badia. In Jordan, A. judaica is widely used in traditional medicine being recommended by aboriginal Bedouins in the North Badia region of Jordan as calmative. ABSTRACT Killed yeasts and hyphae of Candida albicans inhibit gamma interferon secretion by highly purified murine NK cells in response to the Toll-like receptor ligands lipopolysaccharide and zymosan. This effect, which is also observed in the presence of NK-activating cytokines (interleukin-2 [IL-2], IL-12, and IL-15), may represent a novel mechanism of immune evasion that contributes to the virulence of C. albicans .

The functional significance of adult neural stem and progenitor cells in hippocampal-dependent learning and memory has been well documented. Although adult neural stem and progenitor cells in the subventricular zone are known to migrate to, maintain and reorganize the olfactory bulb, it is less clear whether they are functionally required for other processes.
