Multisensory processing can be assessed by measuring susceptibility to crossmodal illusions such as the Sound-Induced Flash Illusion (SIFI). When a single flash is accompanied by 2 or more beeps, it is perceived as multiple flashes (fission illusion); conversely, a fusion illusion is experienced when more flashes are matched with a single beep, leading to the perception of a single flash. Such illusory perceptions are associated to crossmodal changes in visual cortical excitability. Here we investigated cortical excitability in episodic CH patients by using transcranial magnetic stimulation. Paired pulse TMS over the right posterior parietal cortex modulates visuospatial perception

Abstract Objective We previously observed a relative contralateral neglect by right parietal single-pulse TMS given 150 ms after visual stimulus presentation. Here we investigated the effects of parietal paired TMS in normal subjects performing a visuospatial task. Methods Thirteen right-handed healthy subjects underwent a line-length judgement task during single-pulse and paired (1, 3, 5, 10 ms ISIs) TMS, delivered on the right parietal cortex 150 ms after visual stimulus. Due to a fall-induced impact on the greater trochanter, the posterior part of the thin superolateral cortex of the femoral neck is known to experience the highest stress, making it a fracture-prone region. Activity and safety of temozolomide in advanced adrenocortical carcinoma patients

Objective Temozolomide has shown a significant anti-proliferative activity on adrenocortical cancer (ACC) cells in vitro. Design On the basis of these results the drug was prescribed as second/third line in advanced metastatic ACC patients in four referral centers in Italy.
