Preparation of dopaminergic N-alkyl-benzyltetrahydroisoquinolines using a 'one-pot' procedure in acid medium.

2000

The preparation of N-methyl-BTHIQ (4) from N-phenylethyl-phenacetamide (1) by cyclization, reduction and N-alkylation in acid medium has been achieved in good yield in a 'one-pot' procedure. Acylation of imine (2) intermediate afforded the Z and E stereoselectivity in the enamide formation. 6-Hydroxy-BTHIQ (7) shows selectivity for D2 dopamine receptors, while its N-methylated homologue (8) displays higher affinities for both D1 and D2 receptor types, with an unexpected increase in D1 dopamine receptor affinity.

The fluxional behaviour of η6(bicyclo[6.2.0]deca-2,4,6-triene) hexacarbonyl diruthenium (Ru-Ru) by 1H and 13C NMR techniques

1977

Abstract The variable temperature 1 H NMR spectra of [Ru 2 (CO) 6 η 6 -C 10 H 12 )] (C 10 H 12 = bicyclo [6.2.0]-deca-2,4,6-triene) shows that this molecule undergoes the fluxional behaviour previously reported for [M 2 (CO) 6 (η 6 -polyolefin)] complexes (M = Fe, Ru) which have in the solid an asymmetric skew-type structure. The use of 13 C NMR techniques, employed for the first time for a diruthenium complex of the above type, allows a comparison of the mechanism of the fluxional process with that of the diiron analog. Although the observed line shape changes of the carbonyl resonances in the two complexes are somewhat different the process are basically the same. In the case of the dirut…

Two-carbon bridge substituted cocaines: enantioselective synthesis, attribution of the absolute configuration and biological activity of novel 6- and…

1999

In an effort to learn more about the general structure-activity relationships of cocaine with the aim to elucidate those structural features that might confer antagonistic properties to such analogues, we describe herein our synthetic efforts to prepare two-carbon bridge functionalized (methoxylated and hydroxylated) analogues. Our approach makes use of a modification of the classical Willstatter synthesis of cocaine: Mannich type cyclization of acetonedicarboxylic acid monomethyl ester with methylamine hydrochloride and 2-methoxysuccindialdehyde in a citrate buffer solution afforded the 6- and 7-substituted 2-carbomethoxy-3-tropinones 3a,b and 4a,b in approximate yields of 64%. An easy route to 1-germaindenes via a transmetallation zirconiumgermanium reaction

1993

Abstract Several 1-zirconaindenes ( 4 ) have been obtained easily by heating phenylmethylzirconocene with various symmetrical (R  R′  CH 3 , C 2 H 5 , n-C 3 H 7 , Si(CH 3 ) 3 and unsymmetrical (R  CH 3 , R′  Si(CH 3 ) 3 ) alkynes (RCCR′). Under similar experimental conditions, the ynamine, diethylaminotrimethylsilylethyne, led to a regioselective reaction. From the X-ray structure of the zirconaindene product, the trimethylsilyl group was found close to the zirconium atom. Compounds 4 with germanium tetrachloride afford new 1-germaindenes ( 7 ) characterized by 1 H and 13 C NMR and mass spectrometry, in good yield.

Carbon nanotube supported aluminum porphyrin-imidazolium bromide crosslinked copolymer

2022

The increased awareness of the catastrophic consequences caused by the accumulation of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere has generated a large mobilization aimed at CO2 mitigation. Herein, in the spirit of the transformation of a waste as CO2 into value added products, we propose an efficient preparation of two different hybrid systems based on aluminum chloride tetrastyrylporphyrin (TSP-Al-Cl) and 1,4-butanediyl-3,3′-bis-1-vinylimidazolium dibromide copolymerized in the presence (MWCNT-TSP-AlCl-imi) and in absence (TSP-AlCl-imi) of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) for the CO2 utilization in the synthesis of cyclic carbonates. The so-prepared materials have been thoroughly characte…

Synthesis of new, UV-photoactive dansyl derivatives for flow cytometric studies on bile acid uptake.

2009

Four new fluorescent derivatives of cholic acid have been synthesized; they incorporate a dansyl moiety at 3 alpha-, 3 beta-, 7 alpha- or 7 beta- positions. These cholic acid analogs are UV photoactive and also exhibit green fluorescence. In addition, they have been demonstrated to be suitable for studying the kinetics of bile acid transport by flow cytometry.

Spectroscopic study of the loading of cationic porphyrins by carbon nanohorns as high capacity carriers of photoactive molecules to cells

2019

Carbon nanomaterials are attractive candidates for drug delivery due to their high surface area, ease of functionalisation and biocompatibility. This work describes the spectroscopic monitoring of the loading capacity of oxidised carbon nanohorns for two cationic porphyrins. Addition of the COOH functionalised carbon nanohorns to both meso-tetra(4-N-methylpyridyl) free base (H2TMPyP4) and platinum (PtTMPyP4) porphyrin in aqueous solution results in hypochromism of the Soret band and quenching of the porphyrin emission. These changes are used to monitor the non-covalent binding interactions with the nanohorn surface and determine the surface loading. The colloidal stability of the nanohorns …

MANOTA: a promising bifunctional chelating agent for copper-64 immunoPET

2017

International audience; Improved bifunctional chelating agents (BFC) are required for copper-64 radiolabelling of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) under mild conditions to yield stable, target-specific imaging agents. Four different bifunctional chelating agents (BFC) were evaluated for Fab (Fragment antigen binding) conjugation and radiolabelling with copper-64. Two DOTA- (1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7,10-tetraacetic acid) and two NOTA- (1,4,7-triazacyclononane-1,4,7-triacetic acid) derivatives bearing a p-benzyl-isothiocyanate group were conjugated to Fab-trastuzumab - which targets the HER2/neu receptor - and the average number of chelators attached ranged from 2.4 to 4.3 macrocycles …

Novel heterobimetallic radiotheranostic: preparation, activity, and biodistribution.

2014

A novel Ru(II) (arene) theranostic complex is presented. It is based on a 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7,10-tetraacetic acid macrocycle bearing a triarylphosphine and can be tracked in vivo by using the γ emission of (153) Sm atoms. Notably, the heteroditopic ligand can be selectively metalated with ruthenium at the phosphorus atom despite the presence of other functionalities that are prone to metal coordination. Subsequent labeling with radionuclides such as (153) Sm can then be performed easily. The resulting heterobimetallic complex exhibits favorable solubility and stability properties in biologically relevant media. It also shows in vitro cytotoxicity in line with that expected …

Manganese(II) complexes of scorpiand-like azamacrocycles as MnSOD mimics.

2011

Mn(II) complexes of scorpiand-type azamacrocycles constituted by a tretrazapyridinophane core appended with an ethylamino tail including 2- or 4-quinoline functionalities show very appealing in vitro SOD activity. The observed behaviour is related to structural and electrochemical parameters.
